Gonzalez Girl
Never Judge A Book By Its Cover !!!Question 1: If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded, and she had syphilis, would you recommend that she have an abortion? Read the next question before looking at the answer for this one. Question 2: It is time to elect a new world leader, and only your vote counts. Here are the facts about the three leading candidates. Candidate A - Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologists. He's had two Mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day. Candidate B - He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening. Candidate C - He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and never cheated on his wife. Which of these candidates would be your choice? Decide first, no peeking, then scroll down for the answer. Candidate A is Franklin D. Roosevelt. Candidate B is Winston Churchill. Candidate C is Adolph Hitler. And, by the way, the answer to the abortion question: If you said yes, you just killed Beethoven. Pretty interesting isn't it? Makes a person think before judging someone.
NvrEnough
Yup, makes you take a step back and think alright.Question #1Like a case of life giving you lemons, and you walking away with a tall glass of lemonade.Candidate #3There are good qualities even in the worst of us. (But that book was judged by the last chapter anyhow)Too often, especially in todays society, you judge based on what's reported not what's actually there. I can't tell you the amount of anti-Obama propaganda I read. All I ever heard of McCain was his war record. You have to put the time in if you want the whole story and that's the hard way. Easy is convenient and sadly that's how it goes.
Gonzalez Girl
yeah I tottally understand ..! I am Arab & Muslim .. so people used to Judge me as a Terrorist :| C'mon i've never seen a Real gun before lol .. but when they know me they change the Idea .. and that's good & not easy at the same time ! and I really know that alot of people might change their old Idea about me .. just because i am Muslim !! I don't care if you're Christian , Atheist , Jew ... etc !! I don't care if you're White , Black , Asian !! If you're good person .. I respect you no matter what been said about you !! NvrEnough
I fit the most generic stereotype. Straight, white, male, Christian, and middle class. I don't know predjudice against me, I can't say I've ever been denied anything because of my looks. Perhaps because of the way I dress but nothing worth making a big deal out of.I have been exposed to an array of different religions and races in my profession and I think I suprise most by asking questions instead of passing judgement. I've learned a lot about the Muslim and Mormon Religions. I was pleasantly suprised at the amount of information that was volunteered about both when I asked. Regardless of my beliefs passing a bit of respect and taking the time to learn about something as sensitive as religion went a long way to bridging the gap.I can see how your predicament could put you under the microscope. Hopefully one day it will change!
Gonzalez Girl
yes i guess the best thing you can do is Asking Questions !! well it would be annoying lol .. but that's could be the only way to break the Ice & Discover the Real Person infront of you !! Also Reading about other Relegions,Countries,History from the " RIGHT SOURCES " !! can give us alot of answers .. and could change our vision of alot of things !!
