Carter 3 number 1? it was good but not best of the year. i see some good ones on there. i counted 13 that ive actually listened to.

my top are in no order except #1

^Lordy - I agree with a hell of a lot of them. That's my list. Matter of fact, I'm listening to Modern Guilt again right now!

And I've just been given the Laura Marling CD to listen to - if she's on your list here, then I think we might be OK!

Why is Mariah Carey in there? Granted I haven't listened to the cd, but I'm going to write it off on the fact that its Mariah :rofl:

Death Cab's Narrow Stairs was a disappointment. I'd be hard pressed to find anything redeeming in that album.

I don't really buy into the Vampire Weekend hype either, but I can see why they could make the list.

I give them a lot of credit for developing a unique sound (or being able to mix two different genres) but that doesn't make their music any more appealing than any other band in my books. Hence, why I can understand why they might be on the list but why I won't buy into the hype.
