She had a great season in NY, not that good in Milan though. I guess, it's because there are more models of colours in fashion shows in NY? I've never heard of very many latin or carribean models making it in a more high fashion oriented career. LOL it's cause we're usually too short. Well, Jamaican Jaunel McKenzie was quite succesfull a few seasons ago... not that much as Brazilian models or Arlenis, but she was the first Jamaican and Caribbean model to appear in Vogue US I nglected this thread Sam, thanks SO much for your posts here, and this VS photo is just fantastic! Arlenis got in half a year more than most models can wish for-opening a show for a known designer (Oscar De La Renta), appearing in Vogue Italia and Vogue US, Harper's Bazaar and landing a contract for Lancome!
