@Mirella yes, that's very true! Trusting ourselves can be a bit harder than we sometimes perceive. In some cases that are more often than a few, decision making is coerced by the atmosphere or our surroundings, but at times, seldom ourselves.  When the percentage of intuition is high and the physical value is low, trust is dearth.

  • Here's something I thought was interesting. A vid I felt coincides with some of the collaborative posts, findings, perceptions, and reports I've witnessed on the forum.

@Jade Bahr you're welcome!

That is true. The downside of having people in our life is that we have to deal with less pleasant emotions when things don't go as we hoped. We can't control others but we can be aware of our reaction to a disappointing fact that is shown to us.

Trust is tricky and takes time to build. That action and words are in balance with a commitment to make it work. We all come with flaws that can't always be changed.

Which person is good for your mental health? I don't think we are as aware of that as we should be and have people around that doesn't help us build.

Morgane is a good reader with a clear message of what many would say is a change in life. It takes trust in yourself to break something down so you can build it up with the right people.

Leonardo is someone with a more emotional life than what exists for the immediate eye. You just have to look closer.

^That's so cool @LuckyGirl Sounds super exotic to me hope it's ok to call it like this. I love how Leo is admired in the whole world and kinda connecting people with each other. Was he ever there? Is he popular in your country? :p

It’s totally fine with me, I can understand that you may not be very familiar with our region. He’s very famous in our region but some people call me “The one from Titanic”😂 but he’s very popular specially among moviegoers not only in the Arabian Gulf but the whole Middle east. And no he’s never been there but I heard that he went to Dubai and Egypt  once but not as a public appearance only for tourism  and Morroco when he shot BOL and in 2018.

I definitely don't agree with this list but as someone who watches classic movies those actors were the real deal. Leo is among a few modern day actors I would include in a list with the greats.

Could you make a 'personal' list from what you think are the great of the greatest? male and/or female (just when you're in the mood and have the time) :p I'm totally incapable of making such a list because I have no sense for talent. For example I don't see anything special in actors like Marlon Brando, Daniel Day Lewis or Joaquin Phoenix. For me they all look grumpy all the time with terrible, sometimes even aggressive/disrespectful behaviour on set calling it method acting #me admitting things

tumblr_pjfu7oWKT11tnfye6_500.gifv

Of course you can all feel free to make such a list if you want :p

@LuckyGirl I now have VPN :p I have to look and try a bit to get all through it but it seems like a good thing plus I feel a bit more protected while surfing in the internet. Thx again for the recommendation

I FINALLY finished the OUATIH book (gosh I became such a sloppy reader these days). So here my little review without spoiler I hope.

Personally I had the feeling the book is mostly about Cliff Booth. Am I the only one who got this feeling? If I think about it I couldn't tell something really new/unknown about Rick (I mean he had a couple of more scenes as he had in the movie) but all in all I can now say a LOT MORE personal/pretty intimate stuff about Mr Cliff Booth lol I probably never can watch the movie again without thinking about s-e-x whenever I see him he's super horny in the book ALL the frickin time my oh my :bounce::rofl:

He even thinks about banging Sharon.

The deleted (phone call) scene with Rick and the little girl Trudi Fraser was a pretty good one at least I really liked it in the book. Since Tarantino changed the time line in the book (this is why the book has a 'different' ending) I don't know how it would work in the actual movie.

Altogether I would say the book is the perfect complement to the movie.

I really enjoyed it (maybe it became a little slow in the ending). But Tarantino is a good writer and I really had to laugh out loud a couple of times :PinkCouture2:

Perfect fit: New big article/interview with Tarantino in GQ UK where he talks -among other things- OUATIH.

I also enjoyed reading or rather listening to the audiobook of OUATIH. But I think it only works as an addition to the movie because lots of stuff from the movie is not even happening in the novel. If you just read the novel it's not the same.

I would have loved to get more background on Rick though.

"The Great Gatsby" is making waves on hulu :PinkCouture2:

Quote

A Polarizing Leonardo DiCaprio Movie Is Blowing Up On Streaming

Having spent the better part of 30 years establishing his reputation as one of modern cinema’s finest actors, audiences have come to expect a certain level of performance from Leonardo DiCaprio. The 46 year-old almost always tends to deliver, partly due to how selective he is over his projects.

Netflix’s star-studded Don’t Look Up will mark just his second feature film credit since The Revenant hit theaters in December 2015, and it’s a welcome foray into comedy for a talent best known as the headliner of countless awards season favorites. The majority of DiCaprio’s efforts tend to win widespread critical acclaim, but Baz Luhrmann’s 2013 adaptation of The Great Gatsby proved to be hugely polarizing.

20140216-131646.jpg

It may have earned $353 million at the box office, but the lavish literary period piece could only muster a Rotten Tomatoes score of 48%, although audiences deemed it worthy of a much higher, but still not spectacular, 67%. The ensemble cast are all solid across the board, but as is the case with almost the entirety of Luhrmann’s filmography, the The Great Gatsby ultimately favors style over substance.

Coming right after Inception and Django Unchained, but just before The Wolf of Wall Street and The Revenant, The Great Gatsby was largely forgotten about as DiCaprio embarked on arguably the hottest streak of his career. However, it’s experienced a resurgence on Hulu, where it currently ranks as one of the platform’s most-watched titles.

I have seen him since and he smelt divine, I'm happy to report. I liked him tremendously and admired his work, but luckily I was immune from his groin charms, unlike poor Claire Danes, then only 17. It was obvious to all of us that she really was in love with her Romeo, but Leonardo wasn't in love with her. She wasn't his type at all.

He didn't know how to cope with her evident infatuation. He wasn't sensitive to her feelings, was dismissive of her and could be quite nasty in his keenness to get away, while Claire was utterly sincere and so open. It was painful to watch"

I watched BOL yesterday with a friend (it slowly becomes one of my more watched Leo movies :p) and one thing we immediatly recognized was how RELEVANT this movie still is. My friend asked when Leo shot this movie. She was baffled when she heard it's from 2008 because nothing much has changed since then in that part of the middle east. All I could say was well that's Leo, he has a sense for pícking topics like that, making movies which last.

@Mirella is it okay to say water signs are the sovereigns of emotion?

Golshifteh Farahani is beautiful! @Jade Bahr

Perhaps this concurs with @Magical's article, @akatosh? (Well, partly)

An article from Showbiz Cheatsheet

HOME / CELEBRITY /

Leonardo DiCaprio Rarely Showers and Avoids Deodorant to Help the Environment

(Could that means he takes more bubble baths?)😏

When it comes to celebrity health, most of the time the media is focused on the expected: workout routines, hot new diets, and all the details about who is going where for which new fabulous procedure. However, lately, it seems the media is breaking new ground on the celebrity wellness front. Specifically, reporters everywhere have been digging up the literal dirt on which celebs are fresh as a daisy and which prefer to keep themselves smelling a bit more au natural. Well, it’s official, folks: Add Leonardo DiCaprio to your mental list of infrequent celebrity bathers because apparently, he rarely showers.

Leonardo DiCaprio rarely showers — and apparently, it’s the hot new celebrity trend

Leonardo DiCaprio, star of the revenant, dressed in a suit jacket and a collared shirt standing in front of a white background with Revenant written in black text.
Leonardo DiCaprio from ‘The Revenant’ | Getty Images

There have been a few high-profile cases lately of celebs going on the record to admit to their ways. Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis kicked off the trend recently when they appeared on Dax Shepard and Monica Padman’s Armchair Expert when they admitted they rarely washed more than vital parts like the underarm and crotch, with Shepard agreeing that he and Kristen Bell are similar. This created a frenzy of folks wondering what other celebrities might not smell like a bed of roses in real life.

Reports soon followed that Brad Pitt and Jake Gyllenhaal have both publicly admitted to skipping showers for days on end, with Gyllenhaal going so far as to say that he honestly finds loofahs confusing. In light of the recent trend, some celebrities have taken the opposite tactic, with stars like Dwayne Johnson and Jason Momoa going on the record to make it absolutely clear they are very pro-bathing.

So why does Leonardo DiCaprio skip showers?

While it’s not exactly a shocker that DiCaprio is on Team Fewer Showers, at least he has a better-stated reason for being that way than most. Specifically, DiCaprio is a hardcore environmentalist, so he sees both skipping deodorant and saving water by bathing less often as critical choices to help protect the environment. This is in line with his publicly stated environmentalist tendencies.

DiCaprio’s main problem with deodorant is that it’s not a “natural” product and therefore requires both chemical production processes and requires putting substances like aluminum on your skin.

It’s not just DiCaprio, Kutcher, and Kunis; many celebrities are tossing their deodorants

Recent revelations are just the tip of the iceberg, and the list of celebrities who maybe smell bad is longer than any of us want to believe. For instance, BuzzFeed reports that Robert Pattinson apparently smells like crayons and, despite being known for his fragrances, Tom Ford self-admittedly smells like … sweat and dog?

There are also a number of celebrities who have admitted to not using deodorant, including Cameron Diaz, Courtney Cox, Julia Roberts, and Kourtney Kardashian. Shailene Woodley is apparently so dedicated to keeping it natural that designers have been reluctant to loan her dresses due to the lingering scent when they’re returned. That’s some true anti-deodorant commitment!
