Уоu people, are so cringy. You judging by pics from photoshoots, walk inherited from his father, and manners of his CHARACTERS FROM the MOVIES. LOL. Apparently, YOU WANT him to be feminine because of your personal depravity and the current trending for all this stuff in the world. Hahaha. I've been following DiCaprio for over 20 years and I've never found Him feminine. And your assumptions about his sexual orientation are just so ridiculous. That's all I want to say. Peace. 🤣

Here I thought we were just bored and felt like discussing some Leo related

Great news @oxford25 The amount of cast members starts to remember me to OUATIH. Most of them will have probably just "cameos".

@kellybsblover Most people just don't know how to discuss. They call other people 'obsessed' and 'stupid' (very grown up) but nothing count than their own opinions. Always wondering how those people don't see this contradiction. I mean fine than isn't Leo feminine or bi or gay or whatever. I read once he's in reality a woman  So? Can anyone with certainty disprove this claim here?

I'm not speaking about fuck!ng science it's just what I see SOMETIMES (whoop I can write in BIG LETTERS too LOL). Don't understand the fuss of it :D None of us knows Leo for christ sake. Maybe we're all complete wrong about him who the f*ck knows? At least he's still relevant to discuss him after 20 years because no one knows any sh!t about him for sure (pretty sure he kinda loves it LOL). How many actors/stars can say the same?

So here one of my all time favorite photoshoots of Leo (call it whatever you like):

Some Titanic trivia again:

The only automobile aboard the Titanic was a 1912 Renault Type CB Coupé de Ville owned by William Carter of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.

The 36-year-old Carter, wealthy heir to a coal and iron fortune, purchased the Renault while traveling Europe with his wife, Lucile, and their two children, 14-year-old Lucile and 11-year-old William. The family had traveled from the U.S. to England aboard the Lusitania in May 1911 and had originally booked return passage aboard the Titanic’s sister ship, the Olympic, scheduled to depart April 3. They decided to stay another week and purchased tickets aboard Titanic, departing Southampton on April 10 along with their maid, manservant, and chauffeur.

The night of the sinking, William Carter and his family were separated in the chaos. Mrs. Carter, the children, and their maid boarded a lifeboat while the men stayed behind. As one of the last lifeboats was lowered, Mr. Carter stepped aboard with another male passenger, J. Bruce Ismay, chairman and managing director of the White Star Line, which owned the Titanic. Carter’s manservant, Alexander Cairns, and his chauffeur, Augustus Aldworth, perished. Aldworth was the last person to drive the luxurious Renault when he chauffeured the family to the docks in Southampton.

In the 1997 hit movie Titanic, a 1912 Renault Type CB Coupé de Ville can be seen hoisted onto the ship at the beginning of the film. The vehicle played a key role in the memorable scene when Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Rose (Kate Winslet) consummate their relationship in its back seat.

The Renault featured a 25-horsepower, 2.6-liter L-head inline four-cylinder engine, which afforded the car a cruising speed of 30–35 mph. It sported a sleek, sloping nose with the radiator positioned behind the engine. Unlike many cars of that era, it featured a shaft drive instead of a chain drive, which was helpful on the less than ideal roads of the day.

It was stored in the Titanic’s port-side Orlop Deck storage area, and after the disaster Carter filed a claim with Lloyd’s of London seeking reimbursement from White Star Line for the value of the Renault, which was $5,000. That equates to about $130,000 today.

I probably irritating you guys slowly but yet another Titanic trivia I didn't know ☺️ James Cameron and Gloria Stuart even met her :baronfaint:

Quote

Rose DeWitt Bukater was a fictional character, but her witty and headstrong personality and free-spirited nature was inspired by a real life American artist named Beatrice Wood.

b6a44d8ac92091568d7e0d9ca3f85953a0679b7e

Just like Rose, Beatrice was born to a wealthy family. Her mother wanted her to be an illustrious member of New York society (sending her on trips to Europe, to a convent in Paris and a finishing school). However, in her 20's, Beatrice renounced her family's fortune and announced her wish to be an artist.

She started doing theater in Paris and later joined the French National Repertory Theatre when she returned to New York. There, she played over 60 roles under the stage name “Mademoiselle Patricia".

Similarly, at the beginning of Titanic, we learn that Rose was an actress during the 1920′s:

f70cd762835271d2c89da57f9a6814f2da174250

Beatrice eventually got bored of theater, though.

You know, acting is very fascinating. But being an actress is not, because you become so concentrated on yourself. And your smile and the way you move your head and the way you look. And really, it's a pain in the ass.” (x)

d96b45df70857003cfd63adbfb993eb0a3f9b1e2

During her stay in France, Beatrice met Claude Monet, whom she was a big fan of and even had the privilege of watching during some of his painting sessions in his private garden. This is why in the movie there are references to Monet and his work (that Rose and Jack are fans of):

d4c03e60cee8d1115cb48dce98ba508f90439036

In her early forties, Beatrice found her true passion - pottery. Her abstract, avant-garde and provocative work projected her to a successful career that she'd commit to until her death. And guess what old Rose is doing when we first meet her?

421232381babd2173ee6f0a1e0a70d350fafbcf9

While Beatrice was never aboard the Titanic, she did have a sort of star-crossed relationship with an Indian scientist. A romantic with a bohemian lifestyle, in her autobiography she claimed she "never made love to the men she married and never married the men she loved".

6ca8d04a3cb048c2d4e47b7d9159bea1401d3bf1

In 1998, Beatrice was invited to the Titanic premiere, but couldn't attend due to illness, so James Cameron and Gloria Stuart (old Rose) drove up to her home on her 105th birthday and gave her a VHS copy of the film. She never watched it, though.

"It was too late in life to be sad."

Beatrice passed away some days later.

You can find pictures of some of her works here.

If this has interested you, I'd recommend reading her autobiography "I Shock Myself". She is hands down one of the most fascinating ladies I've read about. So human and flawed and yet so very captivating. It's not really a surprise that she was the inspiration for Rose.

I watched the (unofficial) extended cut of Titanic this weekend and I thought I give you guys a little review of it ☺️

Titanic-Extended-Cut-Blu-Ray.thumb.jpg.f8ccfd8684045e2ce10b04c728525037.jpgTitanic-Extended-Cut-Blu-Ray-Disc.thumb.jpg.1123cddf1a4b1c0093f2e26c236a44dd.jpg

running time: 227 min.

amounts of new scenes/extended scenes: 35 (plus/minus)

I'm in general a big movie fan and I'm a sucker for movie cuts any kinds (directors, unrated, extended, uncensored etc) and I'm forever mad with James Cameron giving us two more cuts of "Avatar" but none of "Titanic", because I always felt some little things were missing in the story - some lost parallels (like the Come Josephine one) and all those little snippets next to Jack and Rose (like Fabrizio and Helga, little Cora and even Cal Hockley).

So know after 23 years I finally found one and it's well done. It's the "german" movie with all the "original" cutted scenes back in the movie -the good and the bad- James Cameron released in 2012 (?)... It's like Titanic 2.0 and really a different feeling to watch.

This extended cut kinda reminded me of a mini series. The story is much more complete, plot holes are filled, questions I always had are finally answered. Mostly I felt this cut is much more closer to all those characters, more personal, dramatic and sad. It's not only Jack and Rose you care about, it's now many more characters you learn about and their (mostly sad) destiny in this horrible night of the sinking.

But let's start with  my favorite "new" Jack & Rose scenes because they're of course still the main reason to watch Titanic for me :p

Rose feels trapped part one

Rose feels trapped part two

Both scenes gave us a deeper look in Roses troubled, desperate situation she doesn't know how to escape. Great acting by Kate especially in the 2nd one. I don't care that Cameron said he wanted the audience seeing her more through Jacks eyes when she tried to jump off the ship. It's her story, and it's such a powerful scene. And now we know why she is looking like a mess later lol

Rose visits 3rd class

This scene has kinda fairytale vibes to me (actually one of many). Rose finally feeling the light of life again, Jack seeing the light of love while being super shy and a little awkward lol It's an adorable, cute scene.

Rose dreams

In this scene are two lost parallels.

First: Rose telling Jack about her life dreams and being an actress.

2085901930_deletedscenesdreams-1.gif.2819b81c7adb8a50491675f90a2ee466.gif303790352_deletedscenesdreams-2.gif.418515b4d84776541d08b27d01967557.gif

I always loved that parallel showing that Rose made her dream(s) indeed come true.

Second:

deletedscenes4.gif.8dfa5140ce549b07f98846ecee65ae6e.gifdeletedscenes5.gif.2ab3b008f80262eab5652ee1000c14a1.gif

It's more a fun snippet but it made Jacks caviar comment while the dinner scene even more special between them. It's like he would send her little signs/sharing a secret telling her he was listening and re-thinking things he said something dumbass Cal never did for example

Come Josephine

Probably my favorite parallel. I was ALWAYS wondering why Jack choosed to sing this song to her. Now it made perfectly sense.

Beside from speaking lost parallels it's such a bittersweet, romantic, kinda 'cinderella after the ball' scene. I love it. Wish Cameron had kept this scene in the final movie.

Another favorite moment from this scene:

Just adorable. :baronfaint::baronfaint::baronfaint:

Beside their relationship getting more complex I also had the feeling it's getting more hot aka horny between those two in this cut.

The chase extended :eyebrows:

And finally the hornieness in all their glory:

Boiler room kiss

I just waited 23 years to see this fuck!ng hot kiss in the damn movie!!!! :w00t::w00t::w00t::baronfaint::baronfaint::baronfaint:

The 2nd couple you see a lot more from is Fabrizio and Helga.

Never realized how pretty she is.

They are really cute trying to connect without speaking the same language lol

The scene were they have to seperate because her parents don't want her to go with him was so heartbreaking omg 😢

Now this is going to happen a much more longer post than I thought so I will stop now :D If you want more I will write more later or tomorrow :p
