The tweeter below was in same restaurant in Santa Monica as Leo yesterday, but , unfortunately,  once again we have a 'sighting' but no 'picture'

So... Just found out Leonardo Dicaprio passed 10 feet away from our table during lunch, and we didn't even see him! #timing

Re:  Egypt tweet, personally to me, as much as everything Leo does is covered by the worldwide press, if there was any validity to the girl's tweet comment regarding Leo/Egypt that news would have been all over the  worldwide press when he was visiting there in 2007

Also, tks, for Revenant pix , I can't wait to next week when Leo's  foundation gala takes place  so we can have some  new pix of him  :clap:

Re: Leo/Indonesia , if you  recall while there were initial reports that Leo would be banned due to his palm oil comments on his Instagram page,  later  those comments were rescinded by the Indonesian Ministry of Environment

However, a different government minister has now praised DiCaprio’s visit to highlight the plight of Sumatran elephants, orangutans, rhinos and tigers and dismissed talk of blacklisting the actor.

“My view is that DiCaprio’s concerns are both sincere and substantial, and he has certainly acted in good faith,” Siti Nurbaya, Indonesia’s minister of the environment and forestry, told foresthints.news. “In fact, we largely share his concerns on this matter.

“In light of this and to reciprocate his sincerity and good intentions, I am open to working together with DiCaprio in a joint effort whereby both of us can have our concerns addressed, including those that pertain to the Leuser Ecosystem.”

Nurbaya also revealed DiCaprio had been accompanied by one of her own officials during an excursion to see orangutans in Gunung Leuser national park. “It’s really not relevant to link the concerns conveyed by DiCaprio with immigration matters,” she added.

Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation Awards $15.6 Million in Largest-Ever Round of Environmental Grants :clap:

In a historic announcement, the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation (LDF) awarded the largest portfolio of environmental grants in the foundation's history.

The foundation awarded a total of $15.6 million in grants, including $7,631,508 for wildlife and habitat conservation; $2,525,000 for ocean conservation; $2,100,000 to protect indigenous rights; $2,085,000 to support innovative solutions to the world's problems; and $1,300,000 to combat climate change. With these grants, the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation has provided more than $59 million in support of many projects since 1998.

Today we are greatly increasing our level of vital grant making and strategic partnerships to help solve some of the world's most pressing environmental challenges," Leonardo DiCaprio, founder and chairman, said.

The foundation also announced today the appointment of Terry Tamminen as CEO of LDF. Tamminen joins the foundation from Seventh Generation Advisors, which he founded nine years ago. Previously, he served as Sec. of the California Environmental Protection Agency under Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and founded the Los Angeles Waterkeeper as the Santa Monica Bay Keeper in 1993.

"Leo and his foundation have been an invaluable voice in the environmental movement for many years," said Tamminen. "I am proud to join them in the fight for the defense of our natural world and the protection of every living creature on Earth. I look forward to working with Leo and the LDF team as we expand the impact of the foundation in the years to come."

LDF supports more than 70 environmental projects across 40-plus countries and five oceans through close collaborative partnerships with environmental leaders, experts and organizations.

The portfolio objectives and grant recipients for this round of funding include:

Wildlife and Habitat Protection aims to improve the future for vulnerable wildlife on land by protecting and restoring natural habitats, end poaching in critical regions and reintroduce native species back into the wild.

This is a new Forbes article regarding Leo's upcoming LDF St Tropez fundraiser ,  but this article , unlike others, does picture and describe some of the items set to  be auctioned, some very interesting ones

And for us Devil in White City fans, it does state that one of the items to be auctioned is to be guest of Martin Scorsese and Robert DeNiro on set of The Irishmen when it starts filming in New York in Spring of 2017 , so it does indeed look like our Devil in White City project won't be happen to 2018

Hope Leo finds another film project to do next year !!!

Re : Disney /Leo pix

It came from tweet below / their snap ,  if you look at , they do have new pix of Stephen Curry & Krysten Ritter at Disneyland that do match other current pix online

So someone must have sent them the pix of Leo claiming they were from July 11th , as I wouldn't think they would try to knowingly pass off old pix as new /exclusive pix  :idk::idk:
