Tks for information as to what the commercial was filming is about ; sounds like a must see for sure ! :flower:

Also, it helps us know the Twitter sightings that claimed Leo was at Burning Man or that he had just been dropped off by limo at LAX were false :p

The article below gives a little bit more information about the commercial/short film that Leo has been filming and when it will be shown

Mr Packer and Lawrence Ho are executive producers of the short film, which will premiere next year at the opening of their newest Melco Crown’s movie-themed resort, Studio City in Macau.

Mr Packer’s movie-making partner in RatPac Entertainment, Brett Ratner is producing the film.

From Deadline Hollywood : They make is sound like a short film versus just a few minutes commercial ; I can't wait to see it (Y)

EXCLUSIVE: How many short films have ever boasted this kind of star wattage? RatPac Entertainment is producing a short being directed by Martin Scorsese that will be used as a campaign for Lawrence Ho and James Packer’s Melco-Crown Entertainment (MCE) global resorts and casino brand. They got the best cast for a casino-themed film since Soderbergh was making Ocean’s Eleven films: Robert Deniro, Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt. The script was written by Wolf Of Wall Street scribe and Boardwalk Empire creator Terence Winter. RatPac’s Brett Ratner and RSA’s Jules Daly are producing and Packer and Ho are executive producing.

The film will Premiere next year at the opening of Melco Crown’s newest movie themed resort Studio City in Macau. It’s the first time De Niro, Pitt and DiCaprio have worked with Martin Scorsese together in the same film. DiCaprio has done five with Scorsese, and De Niro eight, but none together until now. De Niro and DiCaprio did This Boy’s Life together back in 1993, with Scorsese so impressed by the kid that he suggested to his pal Scorsese he oughta meet DiCaprio. The met and hit it off pretty good. Maybe this convergence with Pitt is a good warmup for that Frank Sinatra film Scorsese and DiCaprio have been talking about?

I can't wait to find out what this commercial/short film thing is gonna be all about. Hopefully it will show Leo and Brad acting together as opposed to them just staring in the same thing. So exciting :chicken:Too bad we have to wait until next year to see it :/

Thanks all!

Some words from the director of The Revenant:

Your own personal relationship with Hollywood: you have turned down a lot of things. No “Jungle Book,” no big Hollywood movie. But now you’re doing “The Revenant.” So you’re going to start this movie...

And start in three weeks.

Sometimes you have long distances between these projects, but this is fast.

This is the first one that I did back-to-back in my life, and let’s see how it goes. But I’m happy. It will be six months, in the middle of nowhere, freezing my ass in British Calgary in the snow, and only exteriors. Tough locations, very, very difficult kind of weather conditions. This will be a tough movie for me, but a new genre.

What is the genre?

That’s a good question, because it’s kind of like a pre-Western kind of thing. 1823. It’s not a Western.

Well, you’re smarter than you might think: you’re get to skip the promotion for the movie (Birdman).

I will. I will because I will be freezing off my ass, and I probably will miss that — being in L.A., going in some limousines, having some drinks. I will be in the middle of nowhere, suffering, but I will be happy if Michael gets something, because I think he did an amazing job.

Tks for the interview comments from Revenant director Innaritu :flower:

Every time I would read his comment about he will be "freezing off my ass" , I would think of poor Leo , as unlike , the director he wouldn't be wearing a coat, gloves, scarf, etc during the outdoor scenes

Infact , in the book,  most of Glass' clothes are shredded in the bear attack , and he has very little covering at all
