about the show

“Stitchers” follows Kirsten (Emma Ishta), a young woman recruited into a covert government agency to be ‘stitched’ into the minds of the recently deceased, using their memories to investigate murders and decipher mysteries that otherwise would have gone to the grave. Working alongside Kirsten is Cameron (Kyle Harris), a brilliant neuroscientist whose passion for the program is evident in his work. The secret program is headed by Maggie (Salli Richardson-Whitfield), a skilled veteran of covert operations, and includes Linus (Ritesh Rajan), a socially immature bioelectrical engineer and communications technician. Kirsten’s roommate, Camille (Allison Scagliotti), a gifted computer science grad student, is also recruited to use her skills to assist Kirsten in her new role as a ‘stitcher.’

Kirsten Clark played by Emma Ishta

actor bio

Emma Ishta was born at home in Brookfield, Brisbane, Australia.  Her passion for performance art developed at an early age. She received great support from both her parents and stepparents who were very encouraging. At thirteen she began modeling and after graduating high school, she spent the next two years splitting her time between Sydney, Paris and London. Over the course of her career as a model she worked for many different companies and publications including Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, V Magazine, DKNY and D&G.

After extensive travelling, Ishta found her soul home with the people of the whirlpool in New York City. She had forever viewed modeling as a vehicle that would help open the right doors to achieve her true calling of becoming a professional actress which ended up happening in only a short matter of time. Right out of the gate, Ishta saw immediate success booking guest star roles on shows such as Power (Starz), Black Box (ABC) and Manhattan Love Story (ABC).  She also played Katrina Blackman in the film I Smile Back, which was accepted into Sundance 2015 and will be distributed nationwide in 2016.

After only one year of integrating herself into the New York casting community, Ishta booked the lead role of Kirsten Clark in the highly anticipated ABC Family pilot, Stitchers. Before beginning work on
Stitchers, she spent the summer rehearsing and starring in the play The Flood, which premiered and ran at the NYC Fringe festival. Ishta currently resides in New York City.
