chiva474128 Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 For those of you who don't know Microsoft is recalling 14.1 million XBOX power cords due to a defect that can cause minor burns and scorched carpets. It affects all Xboxes made for continental Europe before Jan. 13, 2004, and units made for the rest of the world before Oct. 23, 2003. You can order a replacement power free of charge at the XBOX.com website. Here is the story:http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/n...crosoft_xbox_dc Quote

Capt Snow Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Ha, thats funny, my friends xbox caught the carpet on fire a long time ago, and they said it wasn't their problem, when he asked for it to be replaced. Quote
chiva474128 Posted February 22, 2005 Author Posted February 22, 2005 I'm sure they knew of the problem the entire time. I guess they didn't want a lawsuit on their hands. What a bunch of morons over at Microsoft... Quote
pmech Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Not really. At least they are recalling them... costing them millions Quote
