  1. I totally agree and could not have said it better myself.
  2. I thought this article was interesting for several reasons, including the photographer's take on his contribution. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/19/fashion/19BLACK.html Beautiful is indeed beautiful.
  3. Does anyone else think that the ads for sugardaddie.com are in poor taste? :yuckky:
  4. From the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Thread Credit goes to Prettyfile
  5. I hope its not a repost. The reflection of her bathing suit in the water across her thigh did amazing things to the visual centers of my brain.
  6. This most definitely should be preserved for posterity... Outraged Sports Illustrated readers are flooding the SI offices with angry phone calls and emails demanding subscription cancellations. The furor erupted after Sports Illustrated's celebrated annual "Swimsuit Issue" hit the stands with Beyonce on the cover and an inside shot of a smug Kanye West gripping a models derriere. Angry comments have been posted on this site as well as other blogs and message boards. "Is this the Swimsuit Issue or the Ghetto issue?" read one post. A source inside the SI mail room emailed me to say longtime subscribers are angry. "The calls are nonstop," she wrote. "Some of these guys have been subscribing to Sports Illustrated for years just so they can get the Swimsuit Issue before it hits the stands. This is like blasphemy to most of them who don't know who Beyonce or Kanye are." A local newspaper reporter who asked not to be identified said, "So many women grew up identifying with the models in the Swimsuit Issue. They don't see themselves in Beyonce. SI has made a mockery of their core demographic with this issue." So far, SI hasn't commented publicly on the complaints. But insiders say SI is discreetly emailing members of the mainstream media emphasizing the point that the Swimsuit Issue is a "Music Issue". But critics are asking how can it be both? "They should make up their minds," wrote one angry poster on a sports-related board. SI can cancel my subscription!" http://eurweb.com/story/eur31539.cfm Though I am sure the poster did not know it, this is the kind of fake editorial that those who hate blogs and newspapers love to spread. I'd like to see vv. Beyonce doesn't do it for me. I get a big kick out of the guitar, and Jimmy Buffet, and think the music issue is better than past years' bikini issue.

  8. I posted some oldies but goodies over in the eyes forum.
  9. I think what they do is take two pictures from two cameras at different angles. Then the red and blue lenses of the glasses are used to block the other image from getting to the wrong eye. Then your brain assembles the two different images coming from your two different eyes to create the 3-d effect. Because they were shot from different angles, just like your two eyes see things from different angles. On the other note, about highest ambitions, I bet if you asked most supermodels, they too would agree that a cushy and fantastically well paying gig does not compare to the feelings they get from doing good things. (There are exceptions - Donald Trump comes to mind.) Alessandra Ambrosio has been to most of the jet-setters' locales, but still considers her hometown the best place on earth. I mean no disrespect to the fabulously beautiful. The face that launched a thousand ships is not to be dismissed, denied, or disrespected. I do think that beauty is not objective. Beyonce doesn't do it for me, but that's not to say she isn't beautiful. Alessandra Ambrosio reminds me of my wife, so I got a thing for her. An actress that I've heard no mention of in ten years also reminded me of her, and if that dang movie is on, I'll be riveted, in spite of the fact that most of it is explosions and gunfire scenes that do not include her. My life revolves around my family, and when there is a character that reminds me of them, I'm paying attention. Thank you all for the scans of the fabulously beautiful, especially you Pink Couture.
  10. >>Strawberry BigMac -"its the highest thing any human cna achieve because your are paid millions and millions and you are known by almost everyone just for sitting around looking beautiful(with lots of hard work)...now if that isent the ultimate success i donno what is. " I would so much more enjoy being a good parent (or if a job perhaps an advocate for the poor and weak), than to sit around and look beautiful and get paid millions of dollars, that I can't even compare the two. I know you didn't ask for my advice Strawberry BigMac, but if you were a friend, I would advise you to raise your ambitions a little higher.
  11. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...=simmons/070202 I found this entertaining.
