VS ex angels need to unite and do a collaboration event. Imagine the likes of Doutzen, Miranda, Rosie, Gisele, Tyra, Laetitia and Karolina coming together. Haha that would be amazing.

Kate Upton isn't even a model any more. She's just a celeb with some endorsement deals.

 

I also never understood why is Gisele banking in THAT much money, compared to the rest of the models.

 

Anja Rubik, she just tries too hard to be artsy-fartsy with the whole #freethenipple instagram thing she tried to start.

 

Probably most of VS girls too, to be honest. I still can't get over the fact that Lily Aldridge has enough power at Victoria's Secret to re-arange the entire show just so that she can have a song with Taylor too.

 

And please don't kill me, but I never understood the crazyness people in fashion world have about Kate Moss.

I love Anja but so true about her. She comes across as being too "haute" for everyone.

Yes to Lily Aldridge/most VS girls and Kate Moss as well.

I cringed when Lais walked and sang along to Ed Sheeran, especially with those arm gestures.

She never lost her high fashion image. VS and the high fashion world were pretty separated though, so I agree about that, but then the high fashion world started using more VS models, remember when Doutzen, Alessandra and Miranda walked Prada, or when Miranda was on Vogue Italia and then Candice made a splash as well. Now VS and high fashion world are quite interlinked, they both are going after publicity than actual talent. It is a business after all.

At first Doutzen was very vague about it and secretively, like she really said close to nothing about it, only there were other brands interested in her, and perhaps she could stop one day with VS. The interviewer reacted really shocked. 

Then after 10  min her agency came to talk with the interviewer and said a decision was made. The interviewer asked what the reason was why she would stop perhaps. Their answer was: stopping at height of career, interest of other brands, Doutzen's familiy life. 

 

Still they haven't said: Doutzen is going to stop with VS, or the fact this was her last walk. 

 

The interview was quite contradictive.

 

Possibly Doutzen and her team are still thinking about it. There are offers of other brands and it depends on what those brands are offering, and she wants more family life and how her acting career is going to develop.

 

My opinion is this OR was already her last walk, OR next year will be, but she won't stay longer than that. 

I guess we just have to wait and see what happens

But having said that. You wouldn't bring that up in the media if your not planning to stop in the near future. With near I mean that next year maximum could be her last walk.

So whoever was watching that Dutch show did she say they have decided not to renew or they're still negotiating? This is gonna get confusing. I guess now we wait and see for the aftermath.

I'm waiting for the show to be repeated in a few minutes. I'm gonna listen really carefully what she says. 

I do expect this was her last show, bc normally angels won't say they are going to leave if they are going to walk another year. Bringing the news in the media, seems to me this was her last walk. What I understood VS wanted to negotiate with her, but she made her decision.

So she never really confirmed that she will end her contract with VS? Just that she has many offers and doesn't know if she will stay with VS or leave?

can we please let go of how VS treated Doutzen. Candice worked exclusively with VS for years so no wonder they will reward her. Doutzen has multiple contracts to bank on, VS contract was just one of them. 

She shot for VS a couple of weeks ago. Probably pyjamas again.

No Doutzen won't walk VS again. Like Gisele and Miranda, Doutzen is known for being an Angel and then more. She isn't like Izabel, Selita, Lindsay, Erin who can walk the show and it's no fuss.

Who in GODS name is going to replace Doutzen next year. 

I think someone here was right, that Doutzen has different priorities now (her family), and doesn't care that much anymore for her career. After she got her first child perhaps she lost interest in modelling a bit. Compare her energy in 2008 with 2011. 

 

I think she cares quite a bit for her career as this was a smart decision involving her and her agents. Like it was said earlier she was never going to be like Adriana or Candice for VS, so its the perfect time to move on and do other things. Plus she did talk about other lingerie brands showing interest in her, so I am sure we will see her work for other brands

 

but why would she leave VS if she would work for other lingerie brands? I understand other brands in general, but why another lingerie brand?

Yes it was a smart decision. But perhaps if career was her only focus in live she wouldn't have let go of VS that easily perhaps. She would have been like Heidi, staying there as long as possible. 

Actually she did say that when her first child was born, she didn't want to work ever again, and just wanted to care for her child. It's after a while she really wanted to work again. Still children can change you. 

 

maybe, but I feel like now that she has opted out of VS, the restraints are completely off. She can work for whatever brand(s) she wants to. I remember she had a hard time negotiating with VS about her H&M contract, ultimately VS did let her work for them, but now it won't be hard for her. She is in big demand and she and her managers have always been smart as to what her next move will be. Plus didn't she want to explore acting? I thought she shot for something when she was in LA in October, maybe she can pursue that as well.

Doutzen right now on TV.. I'm a little sad about it guys.. gonna miss her so much! Really curious tho for what other brand she will be working for...

Yeah will definitely miss her. I really wanted to see her open the show, more so than the fantasy bra, but VS has changed, its not the same 2005 fashion show I loved, so in a way I am happy she is moving on.

I have sad news about Doutzen she decided whit her agendy to not resign her contract with VS... So no fantasy bra ever... They made the desicion because there are also other lingerie brands who wants her and because of personal changes and she said that you need to stop when your on top

I was expecting a big comeback BUT this leaves me COLD! Her body is not yet in top shape, her hair looks unkempt/not sexy & her make-up is way to minimal. It ages her a lot compared to the younger girls who dont have wrinkles yet & these pics/videos are not even in high quality.

Doutzen is a major model because of her flawless face

But her face is starting to age and I am afraid she is not going to be on top anymore. She is known for her beauty but she is starting to lose it. Her skin is ageing in her face... especially on her forehead and around her eyes and when she is laughing.

Her eyes used to be perfectly symetric ..but now her eyelid also starting to hang a lil bit.

Daria Werbory & Kate Moss are ageing quick and quite bad but they are never known as beauties so people dont mind see them ageing. Doutzen is known/loved for her beauty/her perfect face. She needs to stay perfect and should spend money on effective beauty treatments to stay perfect or else she is not getting much work in the next couple of years.

you should let Doutzen worry about her own work, she looks quite natural and content this year. She seems genuinly happy to me.

Yes I totally agree. And I like her softer look way more than her #BodybyIza abs. Her stomach is more beautiful when it's softer. And I appreciate that Doutzen doesn't try to be stick thin after giving birth. It wasn't her priority, she actually said so. I always thought it was creepy Heidi was back on the runway 6 weeks after giving birth. I mean do you care more for VS or your child?

 

 

Is not about the body, her body looks amazing for just having had a baby, It's her face.

 

She looks like she's not even happy to be there and the hair make up didn't do her any favors. I've always felt like Doutzen never enjoys working with VS that much but this year she looked completely washed out, like she would rather be doing anything else, if she cares that much about her child and blabla she should have stayed home then instead of going to London and look so annoyed

 

I don't see one picture of her looking "annoyed." I think its all in your mind. She looks quite happy, she seems more reserved than other angels, but thats her personality. If anything she looks quite angelic.
