  1. Thanks girls for all the new updates, sightings and candids :flower: Not long now until he starts work on Wolf!! Ugh I can't wait (and that reminds me I need to start reading more of the book itself as I haven't gotten very far  )

Cute pic of Leo, Scorsese and Damon promoting The Departed:

Oh this pic is adorable :hehe: Look at their smiles!

sorry for the double post, but i didn't see this article mentioned on here! very exciting news imo, i'm glad they're still moving forward with this project. i'd personally love to see leo play sinatra. it'd be a treat to see him smiling so much :')

Martin Scorsese’s ‘Sinatra’ Swings To Life With Billy Ray Rewrite

As Martin Scorsese celebrates his 70th birthday this fall, it’s a little disheartening to realize that the busy filmmaker will likely not have time for the pile of potential projects he’s stacked high. So when we hear one is moving forward, it certainly brings great excitement. The director is set to re-team once again with Leonardo DiCaprio in a mere matter of days on The Wolf of Wall Street and now we’ve got news on a potential follow-up.

First discussed over three years ago, Scorsese’s biopic on the famous singer and actor icon Frank Sinatra has been often rumored and today we have an update on some development. Deadline reports that Billy Ray, coming off The Hunger Games and writer behind State of Play, Breach and Shattered Glass, has been set by Universal to take a pass on the script. We got word this spring that they found a writer too take on this “unwieldy” project, so it looks like they found their man after an original draft by Phil Alden Robinson.

Scorsese has remarked that they can’t tell the entire life story of the man or that could head into miniseries territory, so right now they plan to find a working structure. With a nearly life-long admiration for the figure, I’d love to see Scorsese be able to tackle his story, but with his priest drama Silence as well as the Robert De Niro-led gangster film The Irishman, we’ll have to keep guessing as what he’ll helm next.

In the meantime, look for The Wolf of Wall Street to land next year.

Would you want to see Scorsese take Sinatra on next?

Neon I second what you said about wanting Leo to play Ol' Blue Eyes. I've had my fingers crossed for forever that he'll take the part if the project ever starts. Thanks for the article!

  2. I'm very much hoping the stated Aug 13th /Wolf start date is right as well.

I noticed that this week the article stated they have been doing fittings, etc, so I'm wondering if the next time we see Leo ( which I hope is very soon ) , we'll be seeing his Jordan Belfort look :)

    I certainly hope so!

Cute, they care for the same things, sweet couple.

Was just going to say the same :hehe:

  3. Thanks girls for all the new articles and sightings! So another article stating an August 13th start on Wolf... I certainly hope so! I'm so excited to see work being started on this movie

I couldn't help but chuckle a little about Leo being ranked in a stylish list (as much as I love his personal style) But ofcourse, he always looks so damn handsome in a suit ;) (maybe that's what it's based on? IDK)

    Welcome new members!

  4. Thanks for the info on her Super Angels wings Kat :) I remember Erin saying that they were electric wings but I didn't know exactly what they were supposed to do. But like you said, they looked amazing enough without the effects, I think they were one of the stand out wings of the whole show! (In my opinion anyway)

And thanks angelwings for the news about Erin and Lily, so sweet! Hope they have fun.

  5. Which Magazines Are the Most Screwed by Gatsby Switch?

The highly-anticipated Great Gatsby re-boot (or whatever!) was to be released this Christmas, but it’s avoiding the Anna Karenina/Django Unchained/Hobbit pile-up with a move to next summer. Totally speculating here: this throws the editorial calendars of several top magazines into chaos. Herewith, our deeply un-educated guesses on the stories and cover lines editors are stuck with:

Leonardo DiCaprio (Gatsby), Vanity Fair, December 2012

Headline: “YES, LEO’S BACK! Hollywood’s Ultimate Bad Boy Goes Back to the Roaring Twenties–and Aims At Oscar”

Editorial Concept: Leo plays with a baby tiger cub, smokes a cigar by a pool, walks through a hedge maze.
