Regardless, Lively admits she's aware of the effect her famous face and body have on men. "I had a few strangers hit on me!" she marvels. "Some guy acted like he liked my hat. Another guy acted like he liked my shoes!" They're staring at your derrière, saying, ‘Hey, I really like your hat.’ Come on, dude!"

Us Weekly has some excerpts from Elle...I hope they're not blowing their promo wad too early though but I imagine that with the sudden move up of the Savages' release date, those precious summer months magazine covers have already been claimed by the girls in the summer blockbusters/superhero flicks (Emma Stone, Anne Hathaway, Scarlett, Marion Cotillard et al). Some of them have probably been booked more than a year in advance.

Oh! This is so funny I saw a TV program of the Spanish Canary Islands (they are very close to my island) RR giving autographs in Madrid, I could not see where. A girl says to him: We have one thing in common. He looks at her and she replies: Both love Blake Lively. Everyone started laughing. He smiled from ear to ear. :)

And the “Gossip Girl” beauty is so close to the world-famous shoe designer that she can e-mail him anytime and ask him how to put her best foot forward.
“When I’m going to an event, I’ll send Christian a picture of my outfit and say, ‘What shoes do you think I should wear with this?’ ” the 24-year-old stunner tells March’s Elle magazine, where this scorching photo appears.
“I hope to have a few girls one day,” Lively adds. “If not girls, they better be trannies — because I have some amazing shoes and bags . . . that need to be appreciated.”

Nice to get a new interview/profile of her. The one she did with Glamour for GL promo was with Flo and didn't really reveal much either. Looking forward to this.^ Yeah I thought about that too, whether it's the politically correct or the moral majority types, but she obviously meant no harm -- in fact, it could be interpreted as acceptance and celebrating good taste in fashion, which is how I took it.
I agree with your interpretation, in fact it shows she's rather open-minded and accepting although knowing people's reactions to every little thing Blake says, you can bet others wouldn't see it that way. Hope this doesn't get picked up by a lot of outlets tbh... I don't think my heart can take another round of negative Blake publicity.

Funny thing is she's made a tranny comment in another mag profile before. She obviously doesn't mean any harm by it. Hopefully people can get some perspective when it comes to her (although I doubt it).

Oh yeah, I've read the book and there's no way it was going to escape an R rating only if they watered down the source material. There's a, um... particularly steamy scene which I don't know if it made the movie or not but it's very OMG and it has a lot of violence and knowing Oliver Stone he probably jacked up the violence too.

:dance: EXCLUSIVE: Looks like Universal Pictures smells a summer hit in Savages, the Oliver Stone-directed adaptation of the bestselling Don Winslow novel. After screening a cut late last week, the studio has moved the film up to a July 6 slot. It had been scheduled to be released September 28. That puts it right in the heat of the summer with a shot at counter-programming against the tent poles. Sony opens The Amazing Spider-Man on July 4 and Fox’s Ice Age sequel opens July 13 (along with the Universal-distributed Seth MacFarlane-directed comedy Ted). The Dark Knight Rises follows on July 17.Scripted by Shane Salerno & Winslow & Stone, the film focuses on Ben (Aaron Johnson) and Chon (Taylor Kitsch), two pot growers who refuse to knuckle under to a Mexan cartel and then have to find a way out after the cartel kidnaps the free-spirited girl they share (Blake Lively), who’ll be killed if the pot growers don’t capitulate and pay a huge ransom. They do it by ripping off the cartel’s shipments, a most dangerous game. The film also stars Benicio Del Toro, freshly Oscar-nominated Demian Bichir, John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Emile Hirsch, Twilight Saga’s Mia Maestro and Salma Hayek. Simon & Schuster recently announced it would publish a prequel novel by Winslow to coincide with the film’s fall release and it will be interesting to see if the publisher moves up the book to summer. Moritz Borman and Eric Kopeloff are producing and Salerno is exec producer.
The move gives Universal two summer films starring former Friday Night Lights star Kitsch, who opens in Battleship on May 18. He opens in Disney’s John Carter on March 9.

She should just use this upcoming break to take time to travel the world, France maybe to finish up her French lessons/polish her French... England? China? I don't mind if we don't get many pics of her so long as she's able to do her own thing and get herself together.
She's always been level-headed and she's always been a fighter and for all we know this could have been a blessing in disguise for her. Who knows what opportunities that may arise because of this? We really can never predict where an actor's big break is gonna come from and it may come from something else we aren't paying attention to right now. The fact that she was Soderbergh's first choice is out there and that speaks volumes really. It shows Hollywood is paying attention and if anything, Rooney Mara's the one picking up Blake's leftovers.
I was depressed at first but Blake's tenacity is one of the reasons I'll always be a fan. If she let this go, we should let it go as well.

Urgh I'm feeling so stabby right now. This is just so unfair and I feel really really bad for Blake. No one deserves to go through what she has.
Let's just try to be strong girls, this too shall pass. We should be rest assured that she can definitely only go up from here despite all the bad news.

Blake Lively Dishes On Style & Diet: "I'm Really Lucky To Have A Good Metabolism"

Blake Lively has it all. Hot career, hot boyfriend (hey, Ryan Reynolds) and hot style. At last night's Jason Wu for Target launch party in NYC, Blake shared some of her style secrets and her obsession for cooking!
The Gossip Girl star told reporters, "My style is always changing like me. I think to define it would be scary because as I grow up and as I change, so does my style. I look back on things I wore years ago and go, 'Oh no I would never wear that now.' But it represented me then and I loved it."
Blake also explained why she wanted to come out to help support her pal Jason Wu. "I'm such a fan of his, and I have been for so long. We were talking about how when we first met, Gossip Girl had just aired and it was before he dressed Michelle Obama. So we were both young and new to all of this and very naive, and to be here now and see what our journey's been for the last three years."
"We're both so lucky we've been pinching ourselves thinking, 'How cool is this?' But it's nice to have that comradery and also his lines are so beautiful; they're so classic and elegant and really timeless. He has such iconic shapes. His clothes look like a lady. I appreciate the sophistication."
What will Blake be wearing this upcoming season? She said, "I'll probably be in a lot of high waisted mini skirts and shorts."
When reporters inquired how Blake kept her famous figure, she attributed it to good genes! "I'm really lucky to have a good metabolism. When I have to get in shape for a movie then I can do it, I only had to do it once but I just love to cook a lot. And I think I use a lot of fresh produce, maybe that helps?"
It also helps that when asked what she loves to do in her downtime, the leggy blonde said, "Cook!"

According to executive producers Joshua Safran and Stephanie Savage, who were hanging out at the Humphrey Loft after the mayor's press conference, Ms. Lively is the cast member most likely to end up in Hizzoner's seat someday. "Leighton [Meester, who plays Blair Waldorf] might not want the burden," Ms. Savage said. "She's a free-spirit."
"[Ms. Lively] has a commanding presence," Mr. Safran said. "I looked to Blake when I got off the stage today and Blake said, 'You did good!' And I was like: 'Oh, phew! Blake said I did good.'"
