  1. Irina by far:) SORRY,but i hate Kate and i think her body is awful:(

    Miami_FW_Beach_Bunny_Swimwear_Kate_Upton.jpg

lol, I wouldn't go so far as to say her body is awful, but she has absolutely nothing on Irina. Totally not in the same league. Irina is far sexier.

  2. ^ dream on you guys! just because you have the same hairstyle doenst mean you''ll look like him ...Jon is unique.. no one can look like him! :shifty:

Dream on? My hair gets longer every day (it's naturally thick), so I can style it like his. Obviously it'll always be my version and I'll be doing it myself (he clearly has stylists). I don't want to look like him, then I wouldn't be me. I want a similar hairstyle though - that is it. Nice try though.

  3. Update: Kate´s body is more curvaceous and more feminine than Irina´s.

    post-20827-0-1446073823-24894_thumb.jpg

Worst picture to post to prove that point.

Also, I'd say that Irina's more petite frame equals a more feminine look.

    Also:

And Kate has the better boobs.

Kate's boobs appear to sag more then Irina's - not sure if I would really consider that better. However, she clearly has bigger boobs.

  4. how could u NOT know!

    its Jon Kortajarena

My attention is with female models, but every so often you see a guy and think to yourself, "why can't I look like that"?

HAHA, I agree. I love his hair particularly. I used to have mine really short (1 with clippers on the back and sides) and a little longer on the top, but still short. For a few months now I've been growing it though so I can style it like he does in some of the campaigns.

  5. I just want to ask how to get ALL images in VS database/server???

not manually hand by hand by using prodzoom coz it will be crazy to get all the image one by one by changing the combination of number behind V.XXXXXX,jpg

    Is it considered hacking???

I don't think you'll be able to find all the images on the VS server in one place.

If the directory listings were on (highly unlikely) you'd be able to see a folder with all of the files in a given directory, but you'd still have to open and save each one manually (faster than doing the aforementioned method, but still time consuming).

  6. Probably because between this thread, google and her thread over at TFS, all her new or previously unseen material is already out. I'm sure more stuff will be on the way. No doubt Moofins will be one of the first to keep us up to date : D

  7. Thanks for that, Berno... after some sifting through the code I was able to find the image links buried there. I think the flash module is created on-the-fly via JavaScript and the image is then loaded in via javascript. So I can get this hot picture of Adriana in HQ now:

    http://media.victoriassecret.com/product/prodzoom/V305170.jpg

    Edit*

Oops, sorry, forgot to say how to get the URL! Basically, when you get an image you want, go to view the page source code and hit CTRL + F (Find) then search for 'prodpri2' it should highlight the first URL which will be that main image at the top of the page. Then just follow the OP's method and change the url to 'zoom'.

  8. ^I've seen people posting new VS pictures in certain models threads in HQ, so there must be a way?

Which ones, do you have any examples?

The JavaScript popup method hasn't been completely abandoned. For instance, on this page, when you right-click on the first large image you'll get this menu:

    post-20827-0-1446080492-41414_thumb.jpg

The image below in 'May We Also Suggest' has the Large View link where the JavaScript popup works, and then you can right click and select View Image then get the URL and change it, as per the OP's method.

So there are still some instances where you can get the HQ version of the image, but (and I'm not going to check the whole site) from what I can see they're using the Flash image viewer for most of the pictures now.

  9. For some reason, this isn't working for me anymore. Anyone have any idea as to why?

Yes, because there is no longer a 'View Large' option because the site's web masters have since opted for a flash viewer rather than a JavaScript popup window. This means that the photos are either dynamically loaded from a database, or the loader simply calls the static image files which sit on disk. Either way, the image file name, and more crucially the URL, are unknown - (you'll notice right-click doesn't give you the option to view the image or save it).

I'm afraid the brilliance of the OP's method in saving images is now redundant. Sad, as I really wanted to get this in HD.

  10. - My stomach. I'm not fat by any means, but I wish I could have a washboard stomach like Joanna Krupa or a waist like Candice Swanepoel.

I find this quite odd, since the only thing holding you back is you. If you made the effort to have a washboard stomach like Joanna Krupa then you could.

... but you know, nobody wants to hear that.

    Nobody wants to hear what?

I'm sure I could, if I didn't work 40+ hours a week and want to have a life. I run at the gym several times a week and I eat very healthy. I'm making progress. I have flat stomach, but I wish it was more chiseled. Not all women are born with supermodel bodies. It takes a lot of work and discipline for models and actresses to keep in tip-top shape. It's their job. It's not my job, just a wish. Models and actresses can afford the best personal trainers and personal chefs. They are paid to look hot. The day I start getting paid to look hot is the day I will spend four hours in the gym and hire someone to cook for me. But that ain't happenin'.

Gosh... some people will remain naturally slim because it's the way they're built. I eat really unhealthily when I am back at university, and I barely exercise. If I wanted to I could get a toned body just by working out a little and eating more healthily. I'm lazy and thus don't. You don't need to have a career, the best trainers, loads and loads and loads of time, be paid to look hot to be it, or have the best personal chef to look hot.

    - My height. I'm 5'5". I wish I was 5'8". :(

    lol, same... but I'm 5'6"

  12. Certainly appreciate the time you've taken to remedy this derDude :heythere: - but for me the results remain the same... :/

I get this message following your step 4.

    post-20827-0-1446080501-59822_thumb.png

Then if I stubbornly persist (and, I can assure you, I always stubbornly persist in such things! :p ) I get this:

    post-20827-0-1446080501-62245_thumb.png

Anyway, what's wrong with my slightly smaller posts?!! After all, I'm not of the persuasion to go around telling people how to spell properly or correcting their grammar... ;)

I got the same as u and just went back and typed in zoom again and it worked.

this just made my day...(and night)

    thanks! XD

    haha, it's frickin' awesome.

    Thanks to the OP!

    EDIT*

Why are there even HQ versions of the photos? Why would you think to look? There is no ability to zoom into the photos further than how you see them on the page. It's interesting that you assumed there must be HQ versions and dugg them up. I wonder why the people who run the site would even upload them if they're not going to use them (not that I'm complaining).

  13. I really don't get people who are like: "Personality is more important because looks fade and clearly one's personality is the same throughout their life" - or who even make that implication. The whole statement simply isn't true.

Sure, a mental breakdown may change you, but that's the sort of thing that usually requires professional help to get you back to the person you were.

    - The death of a family member, loved one or friend may change your outlook on life and give you a different perspective on things, thus changing your personality.

    - You could be a shy person who meets some people who eventually become your friends and they naturally make you feel comfortable and you become more confident and open up to people.

    - Things like gaining money and fame may change your personality. Equally, the loss of these things may change it too.

    - You might witness a horrific event first hand that could change you as a person.

    - The lessons we learn through life change us bit by bit as a person. You make a stupid mistake as a result of the way you exercise judgment about something, and usually you will learn from it and not do it again, thus changing you as a person slightly.

    - You might spend time with someone - a partner for instance, who's personality rubs off on you. Maybe you become more generous as a result of watching them and talking to them.

There are so many things that can change you. Personality absolutely does not stick in 100% of people.

You're right, personality does not stick in 100% of people. However, according to the literature, personality traits (or at least the manner in which it is conceptualised in psychology, with the 5 "core" domains being openness to experience, agreeableness, extroversion/introversion, conscientiousness and neuroticism), have been shown to be relatively stable throughout most people's lives. Although you've included a little essay there on how situations can impact on a person (which I admittedly have skimmed rather than read), you did not mention that one's outlook and personality also affect how you interpret certain situations and the manner and degree of how one changes. The relationship between personality and one's environment is more than a one-way street.

I think the initial question, Looks vs Personality, is somewhat misleading (or at least the way I interpret the title of this thread); the question posed isn't an 'either-or' question. For most people, both factors contribute to how they feel about someone. For example, in the case of looks, most people are more inclined to judge attractive individuals or the people associated with them as having more positive qualities. On the flipside, finding someone you can relate with can help you overlook their flaws, sometimes to the point where the overlooking gets completely out of hand - scientists call this disease "love"

    Some good points.

I just love how you passed off my post as an "essay" and admitted to merely scanning through it - presumably because of that reason - then, by your definition, proceed to post an "essay" yourself. Oh, the irony.

  14. What Determines Your Looks?, makeup, clothes, shoes?

    all of the above

also hair, handbags , car, cellphone, manequre , pedicure, parfume, etc

i love to be put together from head to toe

How does a car and a phone determine YOUR LOOKS? The OP made it quite clear the sort of things being suggested. I get where you're coming from, but I think the thread is with reference to how we dress up rather than the things we own.

  15. looks dont always last forever

Personality does, and THAT might be a problem, too  :D

Not necessarily. Some events in your life can change your personality too.

    Like mental breakdown or what?

Really... that's all you could come up with?

I really don't get people who are like: "Personality is more important because looks fade and clearly one's personality is the same throughout their life" - or who even make that implication. The whole statement simply isn't true.

  16. Can anyone PLEASE tell me any good ways to make my boobs look bigger! I don't want to get plastic surgery because fake boobs are so hard and all...I really need something natural. I'm sick and tired of being 34A :(
    I love small breasts.

For real. I find smaller breasts a turn on. 34A just sounds damn sexy to be honest.

  17. It's so easy to criticize celebrities for plastic surgery. I think we forget they are human too with flaws and insecurities just like us.

It's not that it's easy to criticise them. It's that they're in the public eye and are always being watched. It has a negative connotation and is likely to send out the wrong signals. Whatever their personal reasons, just think what sort of a message does it send to their fans, their idols, and the younger generation? When Anthony Keidis sings "Pay your surgeon very well to break the spell of ageing" and Peter Tägtgren sings "Silicon tits and silicon lips [...] Walking the white line of fantasy. Glamorous life is all you seek. Living in Hollywood make believe." they're very loaded remarks. In both cases it's talking about the dark side of stardom and being a celebrity. Hide this and distract from that is basically teaching young girls how to lie, and promotes the notion that surgically altering their body is better then getting women to respect themselves outside of the trite generalisations of society.

It seems so absurd when you're in a happy place, and have learnt to accept yourself for who you are and what nature gave you, to think that someone else is so unhappy that they actually want to pay to superficially enhance, hide or change their physical appearance in order to attain beauty or make them happy again. Then of course, it's also more likely that if you're constantly in the spotlight, it doesn't seem so far fetched that you're getting enhancements done all in the name of vanity.

I think that people should do whatever will make them happy, regardless.
^ Exactly. [...] As long as someone does it for the right reasons, I don't see anything wrong with it! Obviously people can go overboard, but a little bit here and there isn't a big deal.

I think we expect models and celebs to be naturally beautiful or perfect, but often times it's enhanced in some way, shape, or form, whether it's a nose job or collagen in the lip or breast implants. [...] Plastic surgery can be a good thing, if done for the right reasons.

It almost seems like you have a double standard about this. You agree 100% with Laffy, when she says people should do whatever makes them happy, regardless. But then you apply stipulations to this, saying that it is only fine so long as it's done for the right reasons; and as long as people don't go overboard; and that a little bit here and there is no big deal. So what, a little bit more than here and there is a big deal? What are the wrong reasons and what are the right ones? What would you consider going overboard, and where do you draw the line? Those are not rhetorical questions.

What if someone goes overboard with breast implants, in your eyes (Jodie Marsh?), but that makes her happy? Suddenly it's a big deal? She claims to have had them done for similar reasons as you. I think most, if not all women would claim it was to make them happy, and I don't think that's really unbelievable.

  18. I think a lot of people think of Pam Anderson when they hear "breast implants" or "boob job", but you'd be surprised how many women are walking around with implants and you'd never know it.

I would think it's the opposite way round. More likely because I don't think that many people have $6,100~ to casually drop on breast implants. And they just accepted the hand they have been 'dealt' and made the best of it. That's not to say that there aren't many women who, if they did have the money, would spend it on getting breast implants.

I guarantee you plenty of models and actresses have them, we just don't know about it because the work being done is SO good and they don't go overboard.

Unfortunately for actresses, and especially models, it is usually revealed because they are having photos taken of them all the time. So it's not hard for someone to draw a comparison between an old and new photo. With models we're more likely to recognise because they're usually in lingerie or bikinis.
