lol, sorry :P Can I ask why you make them larger then? It's just >5mb is pretty hefty for an avatar.. although I suppose it's not so much an issue anymore with faster broadband and what not

I'm not really sure what you mean.. HD doesn't make a difference if you're scaling it to a certain pixel size. BTW I noticed your Lima avatar is actually 316x173 and just being displayed at 150x150. You know the file size will be much smaller if you actually resized it to 150x150? And the quality won't be any worse - if anything it'll be a little better :)

You can't add text with your GIF animator? I'm sure there are free ones that could do it. If you want something really basic, you can add simple text with an online editor like www.online-image-editor.com :)

Yeah I did all that in Photoshop :) It used to come with an independent program called ImageReady that was purely for GIFs, but since version CS3 they merged all the features into Photoshop itself, and it's not quite as intuitive to use :/ What do you make yours in?

The old PS3s were backwards compatible with PS2, but annoyingly that stopped when they rejigged the hardware for the newer ones :| But yeah, PS1 games work just fine. You can even download some from the PS store :) It's going to be interesting if they make Rising compatible with the Move controller. In theory it would be perfect for the slashing mechanic they got going on

You know PS1 games work on your PS3? :) MGS was my favourite game on Playstation. I actually picked up a second hand PS2 earlier this year too, and planned on making my way through the sequels up to 4.. just haven't got around to it though :/ The MGS: Rising E3 trailer was one of the coolest things I'd seen in a while.. can't wait for that one :D

Funny, I just came out of console game retirement this year too :D Got a PS3 and 360 after putting down my PS1 down some 10 years ago. You're right, there's so many awesome games to catch up on

Hah, yeah. I used to have SFII: Special Champion Edition on Megadrive, which I loved. I got lost with all the endless Super/Alpha/Turbo variations though. I actually bought SFIV when it came out last year, but I've barely played it. Sure looks pretty though :P
