"Landon Pigg is calling his second full-length album, due Aug. 25, The Boy Who Never. But don't let the title fool you: The singer/songwriter, who is best known for the wistful single Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop, has been plenty busy, and not just in the recording studio.

This fall, Pigg, 25, makes his feature-film debut in Whip It!, also Drew Barrymore's first outing as a director, opening wide Oct. 9. He plays 'a musician in the big city' who becomes romantically involved with the heroine, portrayed by 'Juno's' Ellen Page. 'He represents one of many new challenges for her.' Others in the cast include Marcia Gay Harden, Juliette Lewis and Jimmy Fallon.

Pigg also plans to promote 'Boy' with a tour. He describes the album, which includes a new mix of Coffee Shop, as more rhythmically charged than his previous material.. 'I'd say it's George Gershwin meets Motown. Even on the slow songs, you'll hear more of a soul influence.'"

Landon Pigg was born 6 August 1983. He's a singer and songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. His father was a studio veteran and his mother was fond of poetry. When he was a child, his family moved to Oak Park, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, and he and two of his siblings, Cari-Ann and Gabriel, sang commercial jingles with their father's direction. They all attended Grace Lutheran School in River Forest, Illinois. Landon returned to Nashville as a teenager and applied himself to interests such as algebra and chemistry. He attended Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville, Tennessee. During Landon's adolescence, it was his father who offered him informal music education and encouraged his curiosity with music. He also credits his mother for nourishing his poetic side. He likes Lucky Charms and his song, "Falling In Love At A Coffee Shop" was featured in a De Beers commercial.

After one of his songs was featured on "Grey's Anatomy" and subsequently went into national rotation, Landon began a publicity tour in summer 2006 which found him booked on Conan O'Brien's show, Last Call With Carson Daly, and other media outlets, including a radio tour and appearances in Teen Vogue, Glamour, and Performing Songwriter. In late August, Landon appeared with his band on The Early Show where he played "Can't Let Go", the first track from his latest album, LP. On February 14, 2007, his song, "Great Companion" was played throughout several scenes of the "One Tree Hill" episode "Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers". In November 2007, his song "Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop" was featured on an A Diamond is Forever commercial. On February 26, 2008, he kicked off his first show of the year, opening for Gavin DeGraw at the Common Grounds in Gainesville, Florida. On March 12th of that same year, he performed on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. In 2009, his song "Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop" was featured in De Beers commercial. It can also be found on an AT&T wireless telephone commercial playing as of June 2009.

Landon will be making his acting debut, appearing in Drew Barrymore's rollerderby movie, "Whip It!". The movie, which is due out in 2009, is based on the Shauna Cross novel "Derby Girl". Landon is cast as Ellen Page's guitar-playing love interest, Oliver.

Thank u for clearing it up lamodel!! that sure is a relief to know that somebody knows if that FB account was the real deal or not....and glad he's NOT married lol....wow, he seemed to have known a lot about the REAL brandon's life...kinda scary when u think about it cuz somebody pretending to be somebody else when he's not him at all....

a lot of what that guy has written on his facebook is not real... all made up... brandon was raised in simi valley and has never gone to school in the UK as that guy states... messed up, if you ask me.

yep he sure does seem messed up, but what's really scary, not just cuz he's pretending to be somebody he's not, is the fact he fooled SO many people who thought he WAS Brandon!!! Somebody should report him to FB, but with so many pretending to not be whom they claimed to be, i'm sure FB won't do anything at all....it's just sad to me that all of these people are getting away with it too...well, i'm def going to delete him from my list for sure...thanks again, lamodel!!
