  1. Wow. Nicely done.

I was thinking how sad a guy must be if he wakes up in the middle of the night because he was dreaming about doing homework. Not just any homework. The homework for which he was wrestling with a bit earlier but just couldn't quite get but in his dream he answered it correctly. Then he dreamt he drank 2 litres of coke and woke up thirsty and having to pee. So he makes a drink, takes a piss, finishes his homework with his dreamt up answer, and goes back to sleep.

  2. So I finally ordered a pair of Sorels for winter. That's warm. Warm and waterproof. Warm, waterproof and grips snow. Warm, waterproof, grips snow, and costs a bit less. Warm, waterproof, grips snow, costs a bit less, and NOT UGLY.

    Get that?

    NOT UGLY.

  4. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment is a psychometric questionnaire designed to measure psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions. These preferences were extrapolated from the typological theories originated by Carl Gustav Jung, as published in his 1921 book Psychological Types (English edition, 1923). The original developers of the personality inventory were Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter, Isabel Briggs Myers. They began creating the indicator during World War II, believing that a knowledge of personality preferences would help women who were entering the industrial workforce for the first time identify the sort of war-time jobs where they would be "most comfortable and effective." The initial questionnaire grew into the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, which was first published in 1962. The MBTI focuses on normal populations and emphasizes the value of naturally occurring differences.

    The four dichotomies

The four pairs of preferences or dichotomies are shown below:

    Extraversion vs. Introversion

    Sensing vs. iNtuition

    Thinking vs. Feeling

    Judging vs. Perceiving

Note that the terms used for each dichotomy have specific technical meanings relating to the MBTI which differ from their everyday usage. For example, people who prefer judging over perceiving are not necessarily more judgmental or less perceptive.

Nor does the MBTI instrument measure aptitude; it simply indicates for one preference over another. Someone reporting a high score for extraversion over introversion cannot be correctly described as more extraverted: they simply have a clear preference.

Point scores on each of the dichotomies can vary considerably from person to person, even among those with the same type. However, Isabel Myers considered the direction of the preference (for example, E vs. I) to be more important than the degree of the preference (for example, very clear vs. slight).

  5. Anyone know how to keep it simming while minimized and like skip over opportunities?

I made sims after my roomies and left the computer running. It probably paused for an opportunity like half an hour after I left my apartment. I wanted to run it all week and see who dies first and who takes over the free world.

  6. I agree. There was a time when they were decent human beings, apart from Steve Jobs, but ever since the iPod caught on they turned into this rediculous branding company. The worst was when they stopped using PowerPC and switched to Intel. That was the turning point. When they basically slapped all the existing Mac users in the face so they can focus on branding. They've taken away all that was good in a mac and made it so the only thing that made it different from a PC was the logo. Theres no longer an underlying difference between using a mac and using a pc for things like photoshop. Say what you like but all that's different is minor things in the interface.

Bill is actually a good guy now that he doesn't have to fight his way to the top anymore. Most of his income goes to charity.

  7. you will love 7.

7 is so much better than xp. i kid you not.

it is a completely different animal from vista.

people think operating systems are about the gui but this is wrong. windows 7 is the single most stable os i've ever used on a pc. that's saying a lot since i really love my linux based systems.
