  1. I'd be inclined to agree, although I think the attacking aspect of Milan's play seems to be a consequence of their aging back line  Milan used to have a much more defensive (yet balanced) game the past couple of years because they could rely on their back line...not anymore it seems. And it's true, in Europe we are not inclined to attack at all. We're a spoiler team, because Rafa comes out and tries to attack the opponent's weak spots, whether that be by defending and counter-attacking or long balls :anger: But take a look at our squad (like this :|) If you seriously expect us to match the elite in Europe with our personnel and come out to play technical football then I'd be forced to trout you (like this :trout:) Hell, our technical deficiencies are well highlighted...just refer to all the matches we played against Arsenal this year <_<

Rafa is a hell of a coach

He always has success in Europe. Liverpool does not have the best individual players in the world, as compared to Barca, Madrid, Milan, or Chelsea, but Rafa has a system that all his players believe in which make them extremely dangerous, and one of the best teams in the world

They made 2 CL finals in 3 years, he's gotta be doing something right, even if it is a defensive system

  2. I can't cheer for Milan, sorry ACMILAN.

So the 'Pool it is! :D

    yay!! join the club!!

    :voodoo: :voodoo:

    evil alert  :p

    Hahahahaha

  3. Milan star Gattuso dimisses 'long-ball' Liverpool

A Milan player accusing another team of playing defensive football?

Hope you enjoy another defeat in the final, Gennaro. :p

    It is true

Liverpool play a way more defensive game than Milan does

But it does work for them, Damn you Benitez :persuazn:

Milan have played much more boring, ultra-defensive games in recent years than the 'Pool.

The two AC Milan-PSV games of two seasons ago. The games against Ajax four season ago. The ultra-dull Juventus-AC Milan CL final.

Yeah, but that's like 4 games in 4 seasons, normally Milan games are quite exiting, well maybe it's just me cause I'm a Milan fan

  4. how have you been lately anyway? I never see you around... and when you play indoor are you a defender or attacker? You've got to teach me some skills :|

I've been pretty good, I've just been so busy lately with work and school. How have you been?

I usually play defence, and outdoor starts in 3 weeks :D I don't know how much I can teach you but

Hahahaha Rio ain't great. He's too cocky but Vidic (Y) That guy on top of his game is supreme!

Heinze has been struggling all season :/ I hope he doesn't go to Juve though

Vidic has been pretty good (Y) He just wasn't fit for the game against Milan cause Kaka burned him quite a few times

Juve has been linked with everyone, so I don't know who they are really after

Dynamic! I love dynamic formations (Y)

So, has he shed any weight yet or are players just using the 'slingshot effect' by shooting the ball Ronaldo and using the gravitational pull to send the ball at a high velocity towards the opponents' goals?

He has been a very good addition though, he has 7 goals since his move

Talking about superstition and voodoo, I see you guys have chose to wear the all-white strip again...the one that you wore last time because it was lucky  I don't think Liverpool can win this time around though :ninja: but I shall *breaks into song* walk on! WAAALLKK OOOOONNN! with hope in your heart!

I know they always gotta wear there whites all the time in CL Final, Burlesconi thinks it's lucky, you would think after the last time they played Liverpool they would go for the red and blacks this time <_<

I hope your right and Liverpool doesn't win :p

  5. HAHA! I know you'd come back...I know you miss my sexy red ass too much  Let's get it on :brows:

Let's get it on

Hahaha that wasn't Manyoo's real backline though. They missed both their centrebacks in Rio and Vidic and a rightback with experience in Neville. Vidic played the second leg but he wasn't match fit  They normally aren't as bad at the back usually :ninja: and yes, Evra was a big loss too because he is so influential in their wing play but maybe it was better that Heinze was there to start the second leg anyway for defensive reasons.

I know most of there D wasn't fit, but still when Ferdinand is your star defender, there is some problems

Yeah, I really like Heinze but he really strugled over the 2 legs

3 finals in 5 years...I'll never understand how that works  It's like Erikson and his record of just 4 losses as head of England (I could've sworn he lossed 100x as many games :lost:) The Xmas tree formation was great, but it seemed to me like a compromise between the usual 4-4-2 and the 4-3-2-1 in the respect that Kaka was more of a striker than he was a midfield playmaker. He seemed to be a lot further forward than when I usually see him and many times he lead the line on the counter instead of having the 2 strikers pushing up and giving him the space he thrives on. However, I may just a bit confused as to how Milan operate their 4-3-2-1 because at other times it did seem that Milan played a 4-5-1 with Kaka and Seedorf supporting Inzaghi :idk: The defending worked perfectly as well, with Gattuso roaming the back and being able to double up on Ronaldo everytime he got the ball

It's not exactly a 4-3-2-1, but it's a version of it, in which they keep changing throughout the match

    At times it's a 4-4-2, than it's a 4-5-1, and than it's a 4-3-2-1

Now only if Ronaldo wasn't cup tied :anger: He has been playing extremely well as of late

    See you in Athens :shifty:

    :voodoo:

  6. but Milan played really really well and I guess it's all going right because they scored so early. Ancelotti's pre-match plan is coming off to perfection...I haven't been impressed by him since forever, but tactically he's pinned it this time around :| Now it's just about not getting complacent and curbing the Manyoo juggernaut which will inevitably rear its head in the 2nd half.

He's finally learning how to coach :D

He switched to the Christmas Tree formation, which I have always said that it fits Milan the best, as Pirlo dosen't have to do a lot of defending with Gattuso and Ambrosini beside him

  7. How bloody classy have Milan been? :ninja: Both their strikes were class...should be a cracking second half :woot:

I think Manyoo's inexperience in the back line has cost them. If Neville were there he would be able to steady the ship (yes, I paid Gary Neville a compliment :ninja: ) Manyoo should play with a higher defensive line :hehe:

    Milan is class

Even Seedorf has come on as of late :o

Man U defense is dreadfull, they let in some really easy goals over the 2 legs, I doubt Liverpool is gonna let such easy goals :(

Man U really need to address there back line for next year, because it was obvious Brown and O'Shea arn't cut out, and the loss of Evra really hurt them I think

  8. Did you hear about the drunken brawl at Liverpool? If that's true Bellamy is crazy!

I'm not sure about the exact details but if its true I'm very disappointed

And we've agreed to buy Voronin in the summer. I thought Rafa said, and I quote, "we are only looking to sign world-class players" I'm not football expert here but I believe something is not right. :ninja:

I heard Bellamy chased Riise with a golf club  :ninja:

  9. There's still some football left in Fat Ronnie? Who would have thought...

He even outjumped a defender to head one home I think  An earthquake (5.0 on the Richter scale) was reported after he landed :ninja:

He might be fat, bit he is still one of the best strikers in the world, you can see a huge difference in the way Milan is playing since his arrival, the all seem a lot more confident

  10. Ronaldo scored 2 goals and set up another

Screw Ronaldo. It's all about Kaka :gocho:

Aren't you guys going for Ronnie as well? Ever given Robinho a though? What's the transfer policy in Milan nowadays? Collect the Brasilian national team?

    Yeah for real

It seems they only want players if they are Brazilian

Milan is after Ronnie or Robinho and Pato

Ronaldo has given the entire team a boost, but Kaka is still the man in Milan :)

Burlesconi even said that he can see Kaka as captain after Maldini retires

  11. well, i haven't been watching football for quite a while, and certainly i hardly watch any other league apart from the EPL, so i couldn't judge, but one thing is certain: boring football absolutely frustrates fans..... :yuckky:

and i guess the reason you guys are playing more defensive is because you have got players like emerson and mahamadou diarra in the midfield.

btw, not being disrespectful, but i guess bayern stands a better chance in the CL tie

And who decided to double the number of defensive midfielders AND buy both players?

    CAPELLO! :persuazn:

Capello destroys locker rooms, and forces his teams to play a boring definsive game

Just look at Juve the last 2 years, but he is a proven winner <_<

But I hope Madrid fire him at the end of the season, he dosen't fit in there, his ego is to big
