What with the impending cataclysm that will be the result of the choosing of one model over another , here on The Thread of Threads™ we thought it best to prepare overanxious BZ members with this -  the first in a new series of 'How To' guides, to cope with such First World problems like this (in a handy 'cut out and keep' design):

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Whether your first reaction is pride, fear, rage, inability to accept it's not Barbara Palvin, happiness or bewilderment - take a moment and...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Depending on the outcome - you can react in one of three ways:

 

 

1. YOU WERE RIGHT - AND YOU LIKE IT: Yeah, you called it, you knew... It was because it was her turn/she's the next big thing/she is Ed's favourite/she got engaged to a cunt/she's the #1 "Angel"/she's long overdue it* The 'Fantasy Bra' is the highlight of the show and this proves x is the BEST.
2. IT'S NOT WHO YOU WANTED - AND YOU HATE IT: Yeah, you called it, you knew... It's so typical it was her again/well, she's all over the catalogue and everything else/because they're trying to force her down her throat/she got engaged to a cunt/have you read the social media FACT sites - nobody likes her and her stupid short hair/yawn* Nobody cares about the 'Fantasy Bra' now anyway. It's just in the middle of a segment with no fanfare or extra attention. It doesn't prove anything about x - and I know y is still the best really (and I'd have reacted in the 1st way -with no trace of irony - had it been her).
3. IT'S NOT BARBARA PALVIN: Lots of caps, lots of emoticons, lots of bad grammar/spelling, lots of FACTS about why this is wrong, and a seemingly inexhaustible need to mention how she fronted that 'Designer Collection' range last year as if that should be the fucking reason for everything VS does.

Whether it's good news or not, you need a dose of Suck It Up, two tbsp of Get Over Yourself, and a prescription for some big girl panties.

 

Or, alternatively, if you're one of those tiresome 'earnest' members (or went a little too far with your KORA organics lifestyle): Remember - A rose can never be a sunflower, and a sunflower can never be a rose. All flowers are beautiful in their own way, and that's like women too.

I agree more with MissLima. Just because Candice is popular in certain areas does not mean she's as well known everywhere else.

 

Social network numbers really don't mean that much to me because I see it as a generational thing. 

Just walk away people, you're never going to convince fans of anything because they all have blinders on and will very rarely change their opinion about anything.

And I really wouldn't go by instagram followers and heck even twitter followers to determine a model's overall popularity especially with the general public. I mean strippers, video vixens, porn starts, d list reality stars, est have a ton of instagram and twitter followers so........

^But... But... The facts... THE FACTS - FOR THE LOVE OF BARBARA PALVIN THE FACTS! Admit it: You guys got taken down, taken down to Fact Town:

And if all this overkill verbosity wasn't enough I'm going to add this old emoticon so the whereabouts of my tongue (vis a vis my cheek) isn't in doubt: 

 

Candice is still a face without a name for the majority of people outside BZ ... 

 

Not discrediting Behati, but you are definitely underestimating Candice's popularity. LOTS of people in the USA know who Candice is; the majority of the girls (even those who weren't in the 'fashion circle') in my high school knew who Candice was. Most people in my current university can spot Candice out of an advertisement against the other angels. She's definitely rising. She has 1.3 million followers on Instagram versus 258k for Behati, 1.1million for Alessandra and 802k for Adriana. The same holds for Twitter - Candice has 500k followers on Twitter while Behati has 127k (Adriana and Alessandra definitely out-do Candice on Twitter though). Even subtle things such as when VS posts pics on their Instagram/Facebook, Candice pictures typically get the most likes and comments.

 

I'm not a huge Candice fan, but I gotta give her credit where it is due. She definitely has a name and face outside of fashion forums. I still think Behati deserves the bra and has paid her dues though. But it really is no contest that Candice is more popular than Behati.
