Eefje 'sjokz' Depoortere (born 16 June 1987 in Bruges, Belgium) began her eSports career with ICTF Unreal Tournament in 1999
While completing her Masters in History and Journalism, Depoortere began working freelance for SK Gaming and ESFI World, producing eSports-related content in her free time. On many occasions she has thanked fellow eSports journalist Travis “Tnomad” Gafford for helping establish herself in eSports. It was on Gafford’s YouTube show “Whose League is it anyway?” that she greatly increased her visibility and with his help at OGN in Korea that she became an eSports household name. Another project she is well known for is her own YouTube show “Summoner Recap”, which is widely acknowledged as one of the first League of Legends shows.
Depoortere currently hosts major League of Legends events across the world alongside the likes of Leigh “Deman” Smith, Trever “QuickShot” Henry, Jason Kaplan, Joe "Joe Miller" Miller and Martin “Deficio” Lynge. Recent notable events include Season 3 of League of Legends European Summer Split Finals at Gamescom 2013 and the League of Legends World Finals in Staples Center, Los Angeles.
