Ellen Rosa Takes Vogue by Storm

The average star is formed over the course of around 100,000 years, but for model Ellen Rosa, it’s taken less than three. Born in the tiny Brazilian town of Nova Serrana, Ellen’s childhood was spent playing video games and watching Korean dramas with her younger sister. In 2014, with aspirations of studying to become a marine biologist, she was spotted by a model scout on her way to school.

Since her debut for Alexander Wang in late 2016, this stunning up-and-comer has become the toast of the fashion industry, firmly establishing herself as one of its most popular and sought-after talents. With her cat-like features and vivid green eyes frequently drawing comparisons to iconic supermodel Tyra Banks, she went on to open for Altuzarra and walk for Marc Jacobs before appearing in Milan for Prada. Further turns for Fendi, Versace, DKNY, Dior, Celine, Valentino and Chanel quickly followed to round out a stellar season.

This month, Ellen’s meteoric rise to stardom shows no signs of slowing down as she celebrates another career first. Landing her debut solo Vogue cover appearance, she connects with leading fashion photographer Giampaolo Sgura to deliver a double cover feature for the magazine’s Brazilian edition. Entitled ‘Wind In Your Favor’, the editorial finds Ellen posing up a storm in a simple studio setting and on location in front of a stark desert landscape.
