Yves is like Yi-eves

Saint is like soont (kinda like font...I think )

Laurent is the tough one. It is like La-rhaunt. "-rhaunt" sounds like haunt

yves sounds like live without l
saint like sen(ce)
laurent like loran

I pronouce it Vi-t-on (it has a quick "on," right???) and Shan-nelle (Shan like "Sean" or "Shaun" and nelle like the magazine except w/ a "n" in front)

it's kinda hard to explain because french sounds are more... "dry", i mean the sounds are very neat and defined whereas in english they kinda "resound" in the mouth... we also have some "nasal" sounds (though less strong than in portuguese) that you don't have so if you don't know what french sounds like i guess it's hard to have an idea...
But i think you pronounce it wrong i'll try to record some French designer names and post the audio file

^ haha this one made me laugh real hard because there's no way a normal French person would pronounce it like that, unless they're a stuck up aristocrat with a stick up their arse

I for one do not pronounce "zh" like in "zhenya", in French we pronounce it "z" like in "zen" so it's not really working

I guess your method works (or not) depending on the mother tongue of the person using it everybody should learn phonetics, it'd be easier to explain
