American Horror Story Season 5: Matt Bomer teases Lady Gaga's role

American Horror story fans certainly weren't disappointed by what showrunners Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk brought to the table for the series' fourth edition. Bigger and bolder than ever, Season 4 saw our favourite AHS villainess, Jessica Lange, heading up a struggling Freak Show in the Miami suburbs. Even wackier (if that's even possible) than in previous seasons, she dreams of stardom for her and her so-called 'monsters', which include a bearded lady and a three-breasted wife. Moving on to Season 5, the show's narrative does its traditional 180, this time relocating to a Los Angeles hotel, where we can expect to find yet more crazy characters. Fans were recently devastated to hear the news that Lange would not be returning next season, but they've still got Emma Roberts to cling on to and are no doubt counting down the days until October, desperate to get their first glimpse of Season 5's Hotel. Following the announcement that both Lady Gaga and Magic Mike XXL hottie Matt Bomer are both set to join the AHS cast, Bomer has revealed a bit more about what we can expect from the pair when they hit our screens in the fall.

Fans went literally Gaga over Gaga when they found out that the singer-songwriter would be making her first major TV debut on American Horror Story: Hotel. Speaking to Inquirer.net, new AHS recruit Bomer explained how he's really excited about the new season. "Anytime I work with Ryan, he's always bringing something to the table that is fresh and exciting," he said. He added that he would be working a lot with Lady Gaga in the first few episodes and that the character they have created for her is "spot on". Although producers are letting on little else about what the AHS Hotel has in store, the series' two showrunners have told fans that this season will be very different from others in the past, constituting a "huge reinvention" of the show.

American Horror Story’ Season 5 Won’t Have Any Musical Number Despite Featuring Lady Gaga! (THANK GOD!)

The official title of Season 5 of the American horror anthology TV series “American Horror Story” is “Hotel” and the show will be taking its fans and viewers into the unfortunate and horrific experiences of checking in into a hotel all by one’s lonesome.

It has been confirmed that pop singer Lady Gaga will be among the stars who will be debuting in the series. Despite her inclination, however, there will be no musical number in the upcoming horror anthology series, much to the delight of the critics, notes Moviepilot.
Lady Gaga is not the first music celebrity to be a guest star in “American Horror Story.” During Season 4, music icons David Bowie, Nirvana, and Fiona Apple also guested in the series. They did render a couple of songs during their respective guesting stints but fans were not impressed because their music, while obviously good, did not really add anything to intensify the excitement of the episodes where they were featured.
Having learned their lesson from the past season, the showrunners will cast Lady Gaga, but this time, she would not be doing any of her music but will go with just what the script says.

Horrible lipstick accident
Speaking of the script, the singer recently took to Instagram by posting a lipstick-tainted writer’s draft of the “American Horror Story: Hotel.”.
Lady Gaga captioned the post as a horrible lipstick accident and saying that she was just doing a bit of monster homework, notes the International Business Times.
The accident that the singer was referring to was the red smudges all over the top page of the script. At first look, it would appear that the red smudges were made of blood and it was even seen all over Lady Gaga’s long nails. If not for her caption saying that it was just lipstick, it would have really looked as if she has just killed or decapitated somebody before reading the script of “American Horror Story” Season 5.
Co-creator Ryan Murphy did not disclose the character that Lady Gaga would be taking on in the upcoming season, but he, however, hinted that the singer would be a bad, bad girl in “Hotel.”
Showrunners Murphy and Brad Falchuk have been in talks with Lady Gaga since late last year about her possible guesting stint in the American horror anthology series but it was only in February this year that they all come to terms.

The 29-year-old singer apparently told Murphy and Falchuk during their discussions that she has been a fan of the show for a long time and that she wants to portray an evil character in it. It seems like her wish has been granted and fans would be able to see that in the upcoming fifth season of “American Horror Story.”
The teaser trailer of “American Horror Story” Season 5 that was shown in the recently-concluded ComicCon 2015 was titled “Front Desk” and starts off with a bell on the table. A silver-gloved female hand reaches out to ring the bell. The hand then taps its nails on the table, making a metallic clinking noise.
While the video does not show anything except the hand, the scene cuts to a name across the screen – Lady Gaga, which was more than enough to excite the fans for the upcoming Season 5 of “American Horror Story.”

Complex characters
While the show has really lost a bit of its punch with the departure of veteran actress Jessica Lange as the big bad villainess, her characters in the horror anthology series have been pretty much cyclical so the show will definitely survive.
In addition, the series also features a very impressive cast including Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Finn Wittrock, Denis O’Hare, Wes Bentley, Richard T. Jones, Cheyenne Jackson, Matt Bomer, and Chloe Sevigny.
Having all these actors in one show, they are certainly capable on taking just about any complex character that the showrunners can think of. Throw in Lady Gaga into the mix as she is very capable of taking on a different kind of complex character too apart from having an unusual penchant for frightening things, fans of “American Horror Story” will really be up for a good ride for Season 5.
Not much has been said about the characters of the show, with the exception of Lady Gaga’s character, obviously for the show’s promotion purposes.
But most of the characters, including Lady Gaga, are going to be bad, accordingly. It has also been rumored that Sarah Paulson’s character is finally going to die in Season 5. While her character survived the past four seasons, notably titled “Murder House,” “Asylum,” “Coven,” and “Freak Show,” she will finally met her end in “Hotel.”
Lady Gaga’s character is going to be involved in fashion and she is going to be evil. Critics are just hoping that she will not be using strange materials to make her own clothing in the TV series.
According to Ryan Murphy, what he can say to the fans of the show is that “Hotel” is going to be the scariest among the instalments of “American Horror Story,” further whetting their appetite on the show, which will hit TV screens this coming fall.

I can't wait for this season. Say what you want but Gaga really fits with the theme and it was a brilliant idea getting her. The hype for this season is the most I've ever seen. Also so happy Matt Bomer and Chloe Sevigny will be in this season as members of the cast. I'm really looking forward to it. Not long left now :D.
