Biography: Nedlands teenager Gemma Ward has scored one of the biggest coups of her short modelling career - the cover of style bible American Vogue.
The 16-year-old was the youngest model selected by fashion editor Anna Wintour to feature in a line-up of the nine "It Girls" of the supermodel world.
Cementing her place as the hottest new face in the fashion world, Ward joined leading international models, including Gisele Bundchen, Karen Elson, Karolina Kurkova and Natalia Vodianova, in the shoot by famed fashion photographer Steven Meisel.
The former Shenton College student has had a meteoric career since she was discovered less than two years ago by Vivien's Model Management. She currently lives in New York.
