Jameela Jamil



Londoner Jameela Jamil is the new face of T4. The 22-year-old who has worked on E4 Music and Freshly Squeezed will start on weekend Channel 4 youth strand next month. The former model will join Steve Jones, Miquita Oliver, Alexa Chung and Rick Edwards as a presenter.

Viewers may have seen London-born Jameela co-presenting E4 Music and Channel 4's Freshly Squeezed music programme with Nick Grimshaw, and is set to start her T4 stint alongside new pal Rick Edwards.

Jameela said: "Over the last three months, I have never had more fun. It is so incredible to have a job that you look forward to going to so much. I'm terrified because I've been watching T4 for as long as I can remember! I look up to people like June and Dermot, and feel stupidly privileged to be working with the likes of Rick, Miquita, Steve and Alexa."

E-model Jameela was spotted during one of T4's screen tests searching for a new T4 face last year.

It’s hard to think of too many reasons to get up on a Saturday morning, but Jameela Jamil is definitely one of them. Alisa Connan took these great shots of the 23-year-old T4 presenter for a recent interview, but we couldn’t squeeze them all in the magazine so have posted a few extras.

“I’m not what you’d call a Tiffany’s girl,” she told us. “I remember a school report that was written about me when I was 10 that said ‘I was easily seduced by stationery’. She's so pretty and I love her style. I have been looking for magazine pics of her since she's been featured in ASOS and Instyle UK magazines recently. Yet no one seems to have them.
