3 delicious deserts that I had for the first time...:-D
Tokachi Ohagi
This is sweet glutinous rice wrapped around with red bean paste. It's a lot tastier than it looks! The Rice is manipulated into a substance that's almost like gelatin.
Sakura Mochi wrapped with cherry blossom leaves
This is coarser sweet rice wrapped around red bean paste. The sweet rice itself has a special tea flavor
Mochi wrapped in tea leaves
I've had this before..many times, in fact. It's my favorite Japanese desert. But this was simply the best 'mochi' I ever had. The tea leaves sear flavor onto the surface, and the constitution of the mochi sweet rice was also the finest I've ever had. Very chewy and flavorful. It's amazing that this used to be 'glutinous rice'.

Snails
delicious despite there visual appeal to many. When prepped right they sure do go great with beer as posted above. And it seems like any exotic food is labled as an afrodesiac these days...or is that just me

Ahh Mochi....
The mochi was the best, followed by the Tokachi Ohagi and the Sakura Mochi. The Sakura 'mochi' was more like a special type of rice-cake than the others, though :-D
