For a long time, I've been wanting to do a "natural beauty" poll/competition, but partially didn't know how and partially didn't know how it would turn out . Prettyphile has given me inspiration and yous_forever has given me advice and assistance and IreneyQ stood by me on the Top Model competition when I was clearly in over my head . Anyway, I've finally decided to go for it !!!

General Premise

There are 4 groups. I wanted to have 4 separate groups to avoid disparities of popularity.
Example: If Adriana goes up against a barely known woman who is equal or 5% prettier, Adriana will still walk all over her in votes .
We can all see who the most popular is by the size of the thread...
I wanted to have the ladies atleast in the same range of popularity to create a more accurate assessment of the topic at hand, "Natural Beauty".

Group Descriptions...

Group 1) Extremely popular on BZ AND generally well known with HUGE threads.
Group 2) Very popular, but not as much as group 1.
Group 3) Between 2 and 4
Group 4) Can be an up and coming person or someone the average BZ member may not know in general

*Edited* I originally offered for the addition of actresses and singers, but now, I'm going to make this the [Models Edition] due to disparities of the spots and I will eventually make or help someone else make a celeb/actresses and singers competition .

How many pictures did you want for each woman, and did you want us to resize them? As for the rules, what round robin style? I have a write up already for it if you'd like to see it.

Here

Each Woman will go through two rounds of elimination.
Everyone starts out normally in the competition. If you win you go on to round 2. Now if you lose rather then being knocked out immediately you get bumped down to the consolation round 1. If you lose that consolation round you're knocked out completely. However if you win you move on to the second consolation round.

Second consolation round winners go up against round 2 losers. To put it bluntly you can still lose once and go on to win the competition... coming back through the back door so to speak. This is a double knockout tournament everyone gets 2 chances...

Voting Criteria
1. You can vote up to THREE OR FIVE times.
2. We will have total of 16. 32 or 64 contestants.
3. You're allowed to allocate your votes as you see fit, meaning if you'd like to give a particular woman all five votes, zero or something in between so be it.

As to how many pictures I want, I'm planning to use no more than 2 or 3 per celeb in any given round so whatever pics you guys feel best represents said person . Just as long as it's natural and of decent quality.

As to the size, I prefer to use the Last One Standing size and I would prefer that the submitters resize them, but I don't mind doing it .

I only know the others by name, so I'm not sure which group they would go in at the moment . But I will see, thanks for contributing .

I guess I should also establish whether to use 32 or 64 total contestants . There are 4 groups, so 8 per group sounds reasonable, but it may be hard to get in the actresses and singers too , but 16 per group may be overwhelming and confusing for all envolved .

Any insight is appreciated .

I will use 4, but if you have 8 good ones (for example) and can't choose, you can send me all 8 and I will pick from them .

16 per group is too many, I wonder if 8 will be enough....I wish I could squeeze 10 in there ...but we'll see . Or maybe I should just give celebs their own competition. Nothing elaborate. I may just have people order 10-15 actresses and singers and just have 8 models per group in this competition .


So, Group 1 at the moment looks like... Adriana, AnaBB, Isabel, Josie, Petra, Laetitia...I would assume Alessandra, Gisele or Doutzen would fill the last two spots .

'ღ Prettyphile ღ' Thanks. I'm about 99.5% close to setting that Group 1 in stone. I think I probably will go ahead and do 10 per group and move Josie up to Group 1. Group 2 looks solid, only there are 2 or 3 others (maybe Wearbowy, Inguna, Wasson, Stegner, Balti, Kerr ect. ) that can still fight for posistion. I'll go over the 3...

yours_forever Marisa is Group 1, Cintia 2 and Irina 3. They were on her lists .

Nemeside Julia should be able to fit . I don't know the last 3 . Send me some natural pics and say what group they would go in .

sochic You can send me as many as you want to choose from, but I will only use 4, so you can either send me as many as you want and have me chose or narrow down to 4 yourself .

minus1 Simone ... . Natural shots of Jesia should be easy to find . I will try to squeese them into group 3 .







Wakeema the one with the lips ? . Yes, group 4 is where she would fit . I don't know Kocianova so I can't gage what category she would go for . Candice should make group 3 by my estimates .



I love Tanya...but she would classify as Group 2 and I don't know if I could squeeze her in...But atleast she already has many polls .

UPDATES

1. I have redone the group descriptions in the first post in a more easily readable fashion.

2. For each idea that you present, please suggest the group for them as well in case I don't know them.

3. I am actually using 4 pictures, but if you cannot chose, you can send me more than that and I will pick from what you have.

4. Picture Criteria: They must either have adequate lighting or not TOO much light. Atleast medium quality is preferable. This is only because a less clear picture can be seen as an unfair advantage in a "natural beauty" competition .

5. Also, pictures with a considerable layer of flesh tone makeup, though they may not have colored lipstick and eyeshadow do not count as natural . This isn't a slight to anyone's efforts, I know it can be deceptive at first glance .

6. As peti as it sounds, no makeup except for colored lipstick or no makeup except for heavy eye liner doesn't count as natura either ...Sorry .

7. The max is 10 per group.

8. I'm going to have to go ahead and narrow it down to models . There's just too many deserving actresses and singers that can't fit and it's hard for them to compete with models here anyway, and I'm not knocking preferring models by any means. Howbeit, I would prefer to give them their own competition or help someone else with it .

They are too well known for Group 4, but they can challenge for a Group 3 spot .

I decided to go ahead and make this a [Models Edition] do to spot constraints . I'm sorry .

There really isn't enough room for me to do actresses and singers justice (Bellucci, Marceau, Berry, Theron, Portman...), so for the time being, I decided that for this, I'd rather just do one thing well rather than half do two other things .

But I plan to eventually make an [Actress and Singers] edition or help someone else with it . That way they can get the concentration they deserve and also not be thwarted by the popularity of the models here.

why? some actresses have the same popularity as models, and moreover some actresses are models too and former models

1. Monica would classify as Group 1 and Group 1 is pretty much final, UNLESS the person that suggested and submitted pictures for said model is willing to allow them to be replaced...

2. Actresses and singers are A LOT MORE popular than models...In general...But on BZ, even the most popular celebrity isn't as popular as the least popular model in Group 1.

3. It was originally supposed to have 8 per group, but I stretched it out to 10 to create more opportunities and it's still full of models.

4. I'm going to do [or assist ANYONE who wants to do it ] another competiton for celebs only to make sure they are represented in the best way possible . I don't really want to half do actress natural beauty because there are A LOT more than Sophie Marceau and Monica Bellucci that need to be represented . If a natural beauty competition has ANY celebs, it needs to have Charlize Theron, Natalie Portman, Halle Berry, Ayshwaria Rai, Catherine Zeta Jones, Nicole Kidman, Virginie Ledoyen, Alyssa Milano, Sarah Shahi, Angelina Jolie, Gabrielle Union, Evangeline Lily, Olivia Wilde...

For anyone that wants to undertake that, I can help you tremendously , but I know the ones currently doing polls manually have enough on their hands and I'm probably a little over my head with this one , mainly running on impulse and enthusiasm .

Don't worry, you're doing great. A lot better than i could ever do.

Clarification of the Rules for the Pictures

First off, thank you to everyone who sent pictures .

My apologies for not putting this in the beginning, but here they are...

1. NO black and white pics
2. NO extremely bright lights
3. NO really dark rooms
4. NO shades
5. Picture quality must be clear enough for the condition of the skin to be clearly discernable
6. The part with the face must be big enough to be comfortably seen in a 4-inch picture

1-6 are meant ONLY to ensure fairness.

7. Having flesh tone makeup only doesn't count as natural if it's a significant layer or layers. Not fussing, I know it can be hard to
perceive at times, because that's why it was made .
8. If there is only a very, very small amount of makeup and the pic is natural ENOUGH for the average viewer to get the basic gist, I'm not going to make a big deal about it.
