Modeling and acting have always crossed paths, but Daniel Jackson takes the connection to the next level with his latest for Acne Paper. Some of the industry’s freshest faces get a bit of dramatic training for Jackson’s camera: Julia Saner, Anais Pouliot, Taras Koltun, Caroline Brasch Nielsen, Kate King, Iris Egbers, Alexander Beck and Colinne Michaelis clutch scripts, do table reads and put on a full show, while wearing pieces pulled by Mattias Karlsson. With each model displaying a full range of emotion and Jackson’s stark black and whites setting the mood, this is one story Strasberg could be proud of.

I was discussing the other day with somebody that I couldn't think of any good current French models doing the rounds, now I'm sure people will be able to point out a whole bunch of them to me, but nonetheless the shy looking Colinne Michaelis I hear is in fact born and raised over the channel. This is girl I saw a lot of during Paris Fashion Week and it was her seemingly shyness and vulnerability that intrigued me.

Colinne is the great granddaughter of the German born 1930's couture model and famous skier Hilda Strum and American Charley Michaelis. Hilda was also once married to legendary Vogue Art Director Alexander Libermann before he arrived in the offices of Conde Nast.

new model of the season: A/W 11-12

Colinne Michaelis: Michaelis is the great-granddaughter of famed art director Alexander Liberman, but is forging her own path. The 17-year-old Parisian walked exclusively for Calvin Klein Collection in New York and opened for Prada in Milan. With Givenchy and Lanvin, that makes an impressive debut.
